直立時の重心動搖をできるだけ最小に保つ能力を直立姿勢保持能力と正義し, 視覺障害者(弱視者 37名, 全盲者 11名) の重心動搖を 開眼時と閉眼時に分けて測定した. 得られた重心動搖を周波敎解析し, パワ-.スぺクトルを求めた. 結果は次のとおりであろ. (1) 周波數成分およびパワ-がピ-クを示す周波數帶域において, 視覺障害者と正眼者の間に頭著な差異は認められなかった. (2) 1㎐ 以下の周波數帶域のパワ-を比較すろと, 視覺障害者は正限者よりも有意に大きな値を示し, 直立姿勢保持能力が低いことが明らかとなった. (3) 視覺障害者の直立姿勢保持能力は, 弱視者が全盲者よりも有意に高く, 視力の程度が直立姿勢保持能力に關連すろと考えられる. (4) 正眼者は, 開眼時と閉眼時の重心動搖に有意な差異を示したが, 弱視者は有意差を示さなかった. 全盲者は, 有意差を示す周波數帶域とそうでない帶域が認められた. (5) 先天全盲者の1例は, 正眼者の開眼時におけろパワ-.スぺクトルと同樣のぺタ-ソを示し,直立姿勢保持に高い能力を示した. The present study was to clarify the characteristics of postural controllabilities in visually impaired adults under the both eyes open and closed conditions. The subjects comprised 37 partially sighted and 11 blind as well as 23 sighted male adults. The displacement of center of gravity obtained under each condition was applied to power spectral density analysis. The results were as follows: 1) There was no difference between the sighted and the visually impaired in patterns of power spectra. 2) However on the amounts of power in less than 1.0 Hz frequency the sighted showed least and the blind most, with the partially sighted in between. 3) Therefore it could be suggested that the visually impaired had poor postural controllabilities, and that there was an effect of degree of residual vision on their poor performance. 4) The sighted showed significant difference between the amounts of power under the both eyes open and closed conditions, but there was no significant difference between them in the partially sighted. The blind showed significant difference in some frequencies range, but not in others. 5) Power spectrum of a congenitally blind subject resembled power spectra of the sighted, and showed good postural controllability. The result suggests that there may be the trainability of postural control in the visually impaired.
