      • 낙동강 중류부에서의 최적 수질관리 기법의 개발

        Optimum water quality management in the midstream of the Nakdong river was studied. Deterministic water quality model RQ1 and stochastic water quality model RQ2 have been developed. RQ1 contains two codes, RQ1-1 for hydraulic analysis and RQ1-2 for water quality analysis. RQ2 consists of Monte-Carlo simulation for the DO analysis in river. A water quality simulation using RQ1 and RQ2 in the midstream of the Nakdong river has been made. The computed concentration of DO and BOD at several points have good agreements with the observed data. BOD-DO profiles in this basin and the probability distribution for DO concentration at some points have been predicted in 1996 and 2001. This study provides the optimum water quality management planning in the future using the deterministic and stochastic water quality model.

      • 數値模型에 의한 河川水質管理에 관한 硏究

        The water quality management in river using the mathematical model was studied. QUAL-Ⅱ model for water quality was evaluated in terms of theories and structures in algorithm and input-output parameters. Some modifications for the problems involved in the program were also made. A water quality simulation in the newly improved channel of downstream part of the Han River has been made. The predicted concentration of BOD_5 and NH_3-N at the confluence of Joongryang-chun were 8.6㎎/l, 3.6㎎/I and those of Anyang-chun were 11.8㎎/1, 4.6㎎/l respectively. The modeling result shows that the impact of Joongryangchun and Anyang-chun is very serious, and wastewater treatment plant and intercepting sewer for these tributaries are thought to be urgently needed. A methodological procedure made in this paper will provide a basic contribution to the basin-wide water quality management.

      • 數値模型에 의한 灣內의 水質汚染度 解析

        The mathematical simulation of two-dimensional water quality analysis in a bay is studied. The basic equations of the model consist of continuity equation, momentum equation and pollutant transport equation. These equations are analyzed by Leendertse's multi-operation scheme. The Ulsan bay is selected as the area of the model application. Water surface elevation, velocity distribution and pollutant concentration distribution in the bay can be obtained from the study. The simulation results of the hydrodynamic model show that the velocity distribution is within the range of 10㎝/sec and the currents are mainly in the north-south direction, which have a good agreement with the observed data. Water quality modeling for some pollutants has further revealed that there is a discernible correlation between the calculated values and observed values. The methodological procedure taken in this paper will provide a basic contribution to the pollutant transport analysis in a bay.

      • General Priessmann 技法에 의한 開水路 不定流 解析

        Numerical instability of Preissmann scheme is studied for unsteady flow analysis in open channel. The solution strategies to the instability problems are presented in this paper. The main causes of numerical instability of Preissmann scheme are mixed flow, abrupt change in cross section, inappropriate roughness coefficients, time-distance step, rapidly rising hydrograph, dry bed and so on. To overcome these difficulties, general Preissmann model is developed by introducing distance weighting factor(Φ) and the scheme has more dissipative characteristics than existing Preissmann scheme. Verification with the observed data of a natural channel is required in the future. This model presented in this study is expected to contribute to floodwave analysis using Preissmann scheme.

      • Lagrangian Transport Model에 의한 擴散方程式의 數値解析

        The mathematical modeling of the dispersion behaviour in the river was studied. The solution approach to the convective-diffusion equation uses a Lagrangian reference frame which greatly simplifies the mathematics of solution procedure and dramatically reduces errors caused by numerical dispersion. The dispersion analysis of the conservative material was made and the accurrcy of the model was also discussed. The model should be calibrated by field data, and expected to be developed for the simulation of the various pollutants such as BOD, DO, nitrogen, phosphorous and of the unsteady flow in the river.

      • 限界狀態 設計法에 의한 鐵筋콘트리트 二方向 슬라브의 最的設計

        This study attempts to optimize reinforced concrete two way slabs with each spanning condition, based on the concept of ultimate limit state and of serviceability limit state. The variable adoped in this mathematical model consist of design variables including sectional sizes and reinforcement areas per unit width of middle strips and column slrips of slab. The cost function is taken as the objective function in the formulation optimal problem. A number of constraint equations involving flexural stress, reinforcement ratio, deflection and side limit is derived in accordance with BSI cp110 requirements on the basis of limit state design theory. Both objective function and constraints equation derived into terms of design variables and analysis variables generally become high degree nonlinear programming problems. Optimal algorithm that can optimize a structure synthetically earring on both analysis and design of a slab with each spanning condition. The developed algorithm is directly applied to two adjacent edges discontinuous slab, one long edge discontinuous slab, one short edge discontinuous slab and interior panel slab in order to assure validity of the algorithm and the possibility to optimize reinforced two way slabs. From this research it is found that the althorithm developed in this study is applicable to optimization of reinforced two way slabs and it converges to a optimal solution with 2 to 3 iterations regardless of initial variables. The results shows that an economical design can be possible when campared with conventional designs.

      • 蛇行 河川에서 洪水波의 傳達 特性 解析

        Unsteady flow in a natural river which meanders through a wide flood plain is complicated by large differences in hydraulic resistance and cross sectional geometry of the river channel and the floodplain. The unsteady flow is further complicated by the tendency for a portion of the flow to short-circuit along the more direct route afforded by the flood plain rather than following the longer route along the meandering channel. A mathmetical model for routing floods in meandering river with floodplains is presented. The one-dimensional equations modified such that the flow in the meandering channel and floodplain are identified separately. The floodplain model has been used to simulate flow in an idealized meandering river with a flood plain. Flood peak attenuation and travel time are found to increase as flood-plain roughness and width increase and as channel sinuosity decrease. Attenuation increase and travel time decreases as the flood plain flow increases.

      • 河川水質解析에서 BFGS 技法에 의한 最適反應係數의 決定

        QUAL2E model was applied to assess the water quality variations for the downstream of the Han River. The varied flow analysis is performed in the reach of Paldang dam to Indogyo considering the effect of Jamsil submerged weir. A sensitivity analysis was made to determine the significant reaction coefficients and an optimization technique by BFGS method was used to estimate them. The calibration and verification were performed by using observed water quality data for the Han River. The calculated pollutant concentrations showed good agreements with the observed. The predictions of water quality in the river were made for the various discharge conditions and wastewater treatment alternatives.

      • 二次元 Saint-Venant 式의 有限要素解析

        This paper describes the use of the finite element analysis in the development of a two-dimensional(in plan) hydrodynamic simulation model that solves the Saint-Venant equation. A finite element model consists of pre-processing, analysis processing and post-processing. The model has been tested with tow dimensional problems, including surge flow, flow through abrupt contraction and outfall flow. The finite element model shows a stable and efficient results for various situations. The model will provide a good contribution to the numerical analysis of two dimensional Saint-Venant equation.
