Fully Homomorphic Encryption Based On the Parallel Computing
( Delin Tan ),( Huajun Wang ) 한국인터넷정보학회 2018 KSII Transactions on Internet and Information Syst Vol.12 No.1
Fully homomorphic encryption(FHE) scheme may be the best method to solve the privacy leakage problem in the untrusted servers because of its ciphertext calculability. However, the existing FHE schemes are still not being put into the practical applications due to their low efficiency. Therefore, it is imperative to find a more efficient FHE scheme or to optimize the existing FHE schemes so that they can be put into the practical applications. In this paper, we optimize GSW scheme by using the parallel computing, and finally we get a high-performance FHE scheme, namely PGSW scheme. Experimental results show that the time overhead of the homomorphic operations in new FHE scheme will be reduced manyfold with the increasing of processing units number. Therefore, our scheme can greatly reduce the running time of homomorphic operations and improve the performance of FHE scheme through sacrificing hardware resources. It can be seen that our FHE scheme can catalyze the development of FHE.

Nearest neighbor query in location-based services has become a popular application. Aiming at the shortcomings of the privacy protection algorithms of traditional ciphertext nearest neighbor query having the high system overhead because of the usage of the double Hilbert curves and having the inaccurate query results in some special circumstances, a privacy protection algorithm of ciphertext nearest neighbor query which is based on the single Hilbert curve has been proposed. This algorithm uses a single Hilbert curve to transform the two-dimensional coordinates of the points of interest into Hilbert values, and then encrypts them by the order preserving encryption scheme to obtain the one-dimensional ciphertext data which can be compared in numerical size. Then stores the points of interest as elements composed of index value and the ciphertext of the other information about the points of interest on the server-side database. When the user needs to use the nearest neighbor query, firstly calls the approximate nearest neighbor query algorithm proposed in this paper to query on the server-side database, and then obtains the approximate nearest neighbor query results. After that, the accurate nearest neighbor query result can be obtained by calling the precision processing algorithm proposed in this paper. The experimental results show that this privacy protection algorithm of ciphertext nearest neighbor query which is based on the single Hilbert curve is not only feasible, but also optimizes the system overhead and the accuracy of ciphertext nearest neighbor query result.

This paper analyzes the major comparisons and contrasts in entrepreneurship among technology-based university alumni over multiple decades from Tsinghua University in China and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in the United States. In doing so, we ask two related research questions: (1) Who enters entrepreneurship and with what types of ideas and founding teams? (2) How do the innovation and other firm performance outcomes compare? We find that the sources of venture ideas and the composition of founding teams differ as well as the initial capital levels and revenues. This research provides a step toward a better understanding of high-tech entrepreneurship in developing vs. developed institutional environments. Furthermore, while MIT and Tsinghua University are unique in the programs they offer and in their historical cultures of entrepreneurship, both Tsinghua University and MIT provide benchmarks by which other institutions can gauge their alumni entrepreneurs and the types of ventures that they create.
