The Effect of Dietary Black Cumin Seeds (Nigella Sativa L.) on the Performance of Broilers
Guler, Talat,Dalkilic, B.,Ertas, O.N.,Ciftci, M. Asian Australasian Association of Animal Productio 2006 Animal Bioscience Vol.19 No.3
Three hundred and sixty sexed 3-day-old broiler chicks were divided randomly into six treatment groups (control, antibiotic and black cumin at four levels) of 60 birds each. Black cumin seeds at 0.5%, 1%, 2% or 3% and avilamycin at 10 mg/kgt were added to the basal diet and their effects determined on feed intake, daily live weight gain, feed conversion ratio and carcass characteristics. There were no significant differences in daily feed intake at 21 and 42 days (p>0.05). Average daily gain was significantly different between the treatments. The birds fed the diet containing 1% black cumin seeds and antibiotic were the highest average daily gain, followed by those the other treatment diets and negative control (p<0.05). From 1 to 42 days of age, feed conversion ratios were improved significantly by supplementation with 1% black cumin seeds and with antibiotic (p<0.05) by approximately 5% compared to the control group. Similarly, the highest cold carcass, thigh, breast, wing, neck and liver weights were observed in the 1% black cumin and antibiotic groups (p<0.05). Accordingly, 1% supplementation of black cumin seeds to diets could be considered as an alternative natural growth promoter for poultry instead of antibiotics.
NEW APPROACHES OF INVERSE SOFT ROUGH SETS AND THEIR APPLICATIONS IN A DECISION MAKING PROBLEM
DEMIRTAS, NAIME,HUSSAIN, SABIR,DALKILIC, ORHAN The Korean Society for Computational and Applied M 2020 Journal of applied mathematics & informatics Vol.38 No.3
We present inverse soft rough sets by using inverse soft sets and soft rough sets. We study different approaches for inverse soft rough set and examine the relationships between them. We also discuss and explore the basic properties for these approaches. Moreover we develop an algorithm following these concepts and apply it to a decision-making problem to demonstrate the applicability of the proposed methods.

The enhanced tube is a kind of the passive technique for improving the thermal performance of the heat exchangers with a little increase of the friction penalty. They have stated to use instead of the common smooth tubes for designing of the heat exchangers. The size of these heat exchangers can be reduced considerably by using the enhanced tubes instead of smooth tubes. Normally, they are divided into four groups: the corrugated tube, ribbed tube, grooved tube, and fluted tube. Compared with the common smooth tube, many researchers reported that use of the enhanced tubes dramatically increases the heat-transfer performance, both theoretically and experimentally. Focusing on the advantages of the enhanced tubes, this article summarizes the published studies on the heat-transfer and pressure-drop characteristics of the enhanced tubes, both experimental and quantitative investigations.

This paper describes a prototype of a linear reciprocating magnetic refrigerator using a gadolinium parallel plate. The new design of the regenerator, installation, and experiment is presented. The regenerator consists of a gadolinium plate and an inlet/outlet section. The thickness and length of the gadolinium plate are 1mm and 80mm, respectively. The gap between parallel plates is 0.1mm. Water is used as the heat transfer °uid. The permanent magnet structure used in the present study can generate a maximum magnetic ¯eld intensity of 0.94 T. The effects of surface roughness of the gadolinium parallel plate on the temperature span and cooling capacity are investigated. The results show that there is no signi¯cant effect of surface roughness on the magnetic refrigerator performance at a high utilization factor. The results from the present study are important for the design of magnetic refrigerators operating at room temperature.
