        AN ANALYSIS OF THE CIVIL LITIGATION RECONCILIATION SYSTEM IN CHINESE LAW

        The civil Litigation Reconciliation system, aiming at eliminating civil disputes, is a procedural action that both parties in face of judges make mutual concessions and compromise in order to terminate the lawsuit or part of it during proceedings. Now, under the background of the court’s trail pressure increased dramatically, how to find a dispute resolution which will be more effective than trial has become a big issue that is focused by judicial circles in different nations and regions. Establishing a civil Litigation Reconciliation system on the basis of parties’ consensus is favored by individuals, however, Civil Procedure Law legislated in 1991 only prescribed it fundamentally in Article 51: “Both sides of a civil action may reach a settlement themselves.” And then, although Civil Procedure Law experienced 3 times amendments in 2007, 2012 and 2017 respectively, there were not any involvements in settlement provision. Therefore, it’s necessary to design and improve Chinese civil Litigation Reconciliation system from the aspect of its methods, time, expense burden, forms and effects.

        Investigation of Unsteady Pressure Pulsation and Internal Flow in a Centrifugal Pump under Low Flow Rate

        In order to study the unsteady pressure pulsation and internal flow in a centrifugal pump under low flow rate, numerical calculation of a centrifugal pump was carried out. The accuracy of the numerical calculation method was verified with the external characteristic test. The characteristics of the unsteady pressure pulsation and internal flow of the centrifugal pump were analyzed in detail. The results show that the interaction between the impeller and the volute has a significant effect on the unsteady pressure pulsation of the centrifugal pump. The essential reason of the periodic pressure pulsation was explained, and the evolution of separation vortex formation and collapse in the impeller was presented. Regulation of the generation and development of the high pressure zone in the volute was revealed. With the reduction of the flow rate, the influence of the low pressure zone in the impeller is enhanced and the pressure near the volute tongue is decreased. The results can provide a reference for the centrifugal pump design and optimization.

        Performance improvement of amorphous indium-gallium-zinc oxide ReRAM with SiO2 inserting layer

        In this study, the resistive switching performance of amorphous indiumegalliumezinc oxide (a-IGZO) resistive switching random-access memory (ReRAM) was improved by inserting a thin silicon oxide layer between silver (Ag) top electrode and a-IGZO resistive switching layer. Compared with the single a-IGZO layer structure, the SiO2/a-IGZO bi-layer structure exhibits the higher On/Off resistance ratio larger than 103, and the lower operation power using a smaller SET compliance current. In addition, good endurance and excellent retention characteristics were achieved. Furthermore, multilevel resistance states are obtained through adjusting SET compliance current and RESET stop voltage, which shows a promise for high-performance nonvolatile multilevel memory application.

        Artificial Intelligence in the Prediction of Gastrointestinal Stromal Tumors on Endoscopic Ultrasonography Images: Development, Validation and Comparison with Endosonographers

        Background/Aims: The accuracy of endosonographers in diagnosing gastric subepithelial lesions (SELs) using endoscopic ultrasonography (EUS) is influenced by experience and subjectivity. Artificial intelligence (AI) has achieved remarkable development in this field. This study aimed to develop an AI-based EUS diagnostic model for the diagnosis of SELs, and evaluated its efficacy with external validation. Methods: We developed the EUS-AI model with ResNeSt50 using EUS images from two hospitals to predict the histopathology of the gastric SELs originating from muscularis propria. The diagnostic performance of the model was also validated using EUS images obtained from four other hospitals. Results: A total of 2,057 images from 367 patients (375 SELs) were chosen to build the models, and 914 images from 106 patients (108 SELs) were chosen for external validation. The sensitivity, specificity, positive predictive value, negative predictive value, and accuracy of the model for differentiating gastrointestinal stromal tumors (GISTs) and non-GISTs in the external validation sets by images were 82.01%, 68.22%, 86.77%, 59.86%, and 78.12%, respectively. The sensitivity, specificity, positive predictive value, negative predictive value, and accuracy in the external validation set by tumors were 83.75%, 71.43%, 89.33%, 60.61%, and 80.56%, respectively. The EUS-AI model showed better performance (especially specificity) than some endosonographers. The model helped improve the sensitivity, specificity, and accuracy of certain endosonographers. Conclusions: We developed an EUS-AI model to classify gastric SELs originating from muscularis propria into GISTs and non-GISTs with good accuracy. The model may help improve the diagnostic performance of endosonographers. Further work is required to develop a multi-modal EUS-AI system.
