ON THE STABILITY OF IMMERSED MANIFOLDS IN $E^4$

This work is concerned mainly with the variational problem on an immersion x:M $\rightarrow$} $E^4$ . A new approach is introduced depends on the normal variation in any arbitrary normal direction in the normal bundle. The results of this work are considered as a continuation and an extension to that obtained in [1], [2] and [3], [4] respectively. The methods adapted here are based on Cartan's methods of moving frames and the calculus of variations.
Hydrogen storage in proton-conductive perovskite-type oxides and their application

Various mixed oxides having perovskite structure were prepared by co-precipitation and sol-gel methods. The samples were calcined at 700 oC. The produced solids were characterized using X-ray diffraction analysis (XRD),thermogravimetry (TGA), differential thermal analysis (DTA), high resolution transmission electron microscope (HRTEM),nitrogen adsorption at −196 oC and hydrogen adsorption isotherms conducted at 100 oC. The results revealed the for-mation of nanosized mixed solids, namely LaNiO3, LaFeO3, LaCoO3, LaCu2O4 and LaCrO3 compounds with crystallitesize within 27-37 nm. The hysteresis loop of nitrogen adsorption isotherms of different investigated adsorbents indicateclearly the porous nature of different solids calcined at 700 oC. The most active candidate towards hydrogen uptakeis LaNiO3 prepared via sol-gel technique. Its adsorption capacity measured at 100 oC and 20 bar hydrogen pressureattained 1.7 wt%. So, LaNiO3 prepared via sol-gel technique could be considered as very promising material for hydrogenstorage.
Fuzzy sets for fuzzy context model

In the first part an overview on fuzzy sets and fuzzy numbers is given. A detailed treatment of these notions is introduced in [1,2,3]. This sintetically presentation is useful in understanding and in developping the applications in context problems. In the second part, fuzzy context model is given as an application of fuzzy sets and the fuzzy equilibrium equation is solved [4,5].
SURFACES GENERATED VIA THE EVOLUTION OF SPHERICAL IMAGE OF A SPACE CURVE

In this paper, we linked the motion of spherical images with the motion of their curves. Surfaces generated by the evolution of spherical image of a space curve are constructed. Also geometric proprieties of these surfaces are obtained.
