This experiment was carried out to compare basic media (MS, LS, Wang medium), various agar concentrations (0.6, 0.8, 1.0%) and investigate on the effect of cold and room temperature storage (for 15, 30, 45, 60 days after harvest) in garlic tissue culture. The results were as follows: Shooting, rooting and bulbing were the best on MS medium and LS, Wang in turn. Required period for bulbing was more or less hastened on Wang medium. Higher concentration of agar was suitable for shooting and rooting, while lower concentration of agar formed more roots than higher concentration. Differentiation and growth of the garlic storaged by cold temperature for 60 days was more desirable than that of room temperature.
