Plastic products are widely used in daily life as well as in various industries. Although the amount of plastic waste increases every year, there are few studies on waste plastic recycling and automated facilities. Only 31% of waste plastic is recycled, which leads to serious environmental problems. Also, because plastic raw materials are all imported, the unit price is high; therefore, the use of recycled plastic raw materials is essential for price competitiveness and environmental protection. In this study, we developed a pelletizer device capable of producing the material size (4~7mm) of recycled plastic desired by consumers. Also, we developed a vibrator device capable of separating the produced pellet raw materials from externally introduced dust, chips, and defective raw materials. Then an automated facility was built using these devices. This was evaluated, and production was shown to increase by more than 20% compared with existing devices.
