Since a derailment of rolling stocks results in huge losses in properties and lives, the measurement of a derailment coefficient is a very important test item to estimate the running safety of rolling stocks. For a measurement of the derailment measurement of forces between the wheel and rail a measuring wheel-set should be made first. The process to make a measuring wheel-set has some stages for correct measurement. They are as follows; a finite element analysis of a wheel to find a position of holes at which vertical force shall be measured, a finite element analysis for the position of strain gauges.

The important factor to evaluate the running safety of a railway vehicle would be the interaction force between wheel and rail(derailment coefficient), for which is one of important factors to check the running safety of a railway vehicle that may cause a tragic accident. Element that analyze derailment coefficient is consisted of wheel load and lateral force. In this paper, studied about method that calculate vertical force(wheel load) by bending load of axle in rolling stocks.

Executed interface verification test between vehicle and track using KTX vehicles in Seoul-Busan high-speed railway second-stage rail track section. When train passes test section at the 300 km/h speed, measured lateral vibration acceleration of bogie and car body and vertical vibration acceleration of car body. Vibration acceleration measured with speed and distance. Sampling frequency does more than 200 ㎐, and extracts Zero to Peak maximum value in probability distribution 0.15~99.85 % wide-band and did filtering. Test result, all vibration accelerations was expose by acceptable level limit within at test procedures.

Locomotives of railway, diesel locomotives and electric locomotives can be divided into. The nation’s railway electrification as environmental issues such as noise and air pollution issue is being steadily made . They are led to the industrialization of our country until now enhanced traction electric locomotives replaced by diesel locomotives. When compared to electric locomotives until now loaded in the domestic and the new electric locomotives, several changes were Increase the traction of the existing 5,200 ㎾ to 6,600 ㎾. Improved adhesion increased by 88 to 132 tons, the weight of the vehicle. The type of balance, Bo-Bo-Bo type Co-Co type was changed. In this paper, the results of evaluating the responsiveness curve of electric locomotives to be the first station in the country and driving safety technology to ensure the safety of the railway.

Oscillatory wheel load fluctuation of considerable amplitude is almost always observed on railway vehicle running at high speed. From the acceleration measured on the axle-box, the frequency of this fluctuation is estimated to be approximately within 70 ㎐. By the conventional measuring method, continuous outputs of wheel load can not be obtained, so it is difficult to investigate such a high frequency phenomenon exactly. We have developed a new method of measuring the forces and derailment coefficient continuously, using two pairs of strain gauge bridges whose output phases are shifted by 90 degree, and summing up the outputs with a weighting function. This method is available for measuring the forces between wheel and rail up to high frequency. In this paper, continuous method of measuring forces between wheel and rail and derailment coefficient.
