The author applied the reosteogenic operation method in order to conserve the affected human tooth which has large alveolar cyst. Having performed gingival incision, removing of cystic tissue and root canal filling in usual manner with no apicoectomy, a piece of absorbable gelatin sponge was inserted into the cavity which was previously occupied by the cystic tissue, and the gingival wound was sutured. After the operation, clinical and x-ray examinations were made at regular intervals. The results were summarized as follows. 1. Reaction to the vertical percussion' on the tooth and mobility of the tooth were reduced remarkably. 2. The area inserted with the gelatin sponge was filled with regenerated new bone, and periodontal membrane-like line appeared surrounding the cementum surface. 3. There was no evidence of regeneration on the area of apicoectomized dentin surface and on the exposed surface of the canal filling material at the root apical foram-en. 4. The author believes that the regenerative phenomenon of the lesion depends upon the technical condition of this method or the clinical situation of the patient. With skillful application of this method, many teeth with large alveolar cyst would be saved from extraction.

For the evaluation of the eruption time of the deciduous teeth, in Korean, the infants consist of 1223 male and 831 female whose deciduous teeth are emerging were selected through oral examination. Only the cases which have any portion of cutting edge or occlusal cusp just pierced gingival mucosa were included in the subject of this study, and were calculated statistically. Following results were obtained. 1. Average ages(month, day) for eruption of the deciduous teeth were as follws. In the view of sex difference, the eruption of the deciduous central and lateral incisors seened to be earlier in the male than in the female, and of the other deciducus teeth seemed to be earlier in the female.
各種 hormone이 正常白鼠의 구강조직비반세포에 미치는 影響에 關한 實驗的 硏究

The influences of the various hormones on the mast cells in the oral tissue of normal rats were studied. The specimens were taken from entire oral mucous membrane and glossal muscle. The preparations were stained with toluidine blue and hematoxyline-eosin. The results obtained were as follows; 1) The mast cells in oral tissue were most numerous in the anterior region and getting fewer in the posterior, and this relationship was particularly marked in the glossal muscle. In the gingival margins and gingival papillae, very few mast cells were encountered. 2) During the sexual cycle, the number of mast cells decreased slightly in the estrus period and increased slightly in the metestrus period. The difference of the numbers between male and female was not 03served. However, the shape of the cells was considerably altered in the estrus period. 3) During the period of pregnancy, the number of mast cells decreased extremely and their shape In the puerperium, the number of mast cells increased rapidly and the shape was immediately restored to normal in 24 hours after delivery. 4) By the administration of estrogen, progesterone or testosterone, the number of mast cells decreased and the shape was dispersed considerably. These alterations were most severe in the estrogen group. 5) In the castrated male and female, the number of mast cells decreased considerably, and the was markedly dispersed. 6) By the adminstration, of prehormone to male, the number oi mast cells was slightly decreased, and the shape was moderately altered. 7) By the administration of hydrocortisone to male, the change in the number was not seen, and the shape remained normal in moderate dosage. However, in large dosage, the number decreased moderately and the shape was moderately dispersed. 8) By the administration of parotin to male, the number and shape showed little variation, and in the parotidectomizec! group, the number decreased severely and the shape was highly dispersed. However, by the administration of parotin to parotidectomized male, the nuEber increased to normal.
