중국인 학습자의 한국 현대시 읽기 반응에 관한 연구 : 문학 번역 활동을 중심으로

본 연구의 목적은 번역 활동에서 나타난 중국인 학습자의 읽기 반응을 살펴봄으로써 효과적인 한국 현대시 교육을 구안하는 것이다. 한국 국외에서 이루어지는 한국 문학 교수법 중의 하나인 번역과 현대시 읽기 반응 간의 연관성을 입증하기 위해 번역 과정에 관한 논의와 독자반응이론을 참고하였고, 학습자 반응의 번역 활동에서의 구현 방식에 대해 이론적으로 검토하였다. 중국인 학습자가 한국 현대시의 번역 활동에서 실제로 나타난 읽기 반응을 살펴보기 위해 실험을 진행한 결과, 학습자는 텍스트의 구성 요소를 재현함으로써 텍스트를 기술하고, 자신의 상상과 경험에 의한 추측으로 텍스트를 재구성함으로써 텍스트가 내포한 의미를 해석하며, 시 텍스트와 번역 텍스트를 비교함으로써 텍스트의 형식 및 내용에 대해 평가하였다. 이 과정에서 발견된 한계에 대해 번역 전과 후, 두 단계로 나누어 번역 활동에 관한 제언을 제시하였다. 본 연구는 번역을 문학 교육의 수단으로 활용하는 현장에 도움을 줄 것으로 기대한다 This study aims to devise effective modern Korean poetry education by observing the reading reactions of Chinese learners during translation activities. To prove the connection between translation, which is one of the teaching methods used in Korean literature, and reading response, this study referred to the theory on the translation process and reader-response theory and theoretically reviewed the implementation methods in the translation activities of the learners’ responses. Meanwhile, an experiment was conducted to examine the actual reading responses in the translation activities of modern Korean poetry. In this experiment, Chinese learners described the poetry by reproducing the components of the text, interpreted the poetry by reconstructing the text using their imagination and experiences, and estimated the poetry by comparing the poetry and the translation text. Suggestions were made for the limitations that were found in this process. This study is expected to help fields that use translation as a means of literature education.
