        하점임,조혜원,동진근 원광대학교 치의학연구소 1992 圓光齒醫學 Vol.2 No.1

The purpose of this study was to evaluate the effectiveness of core materials and luting agents on the retention of full veneer gold crown. The core materials used in this study was dental amalgam, and composite resin, and the luting agents were zinc phosphate cement, polycarboxylate cement, and glass ionomer cement. The obtained results were as follows. 1. In full veneer gold crown supported by composite resin core, the crown retention with zinc phosphate cement was the highest of all. 2. In full veneer gold crown supported by amalgam core, the crown retention was shown no statistical difference by luting agent. 3. There was no statistical difference in the crown retention between the full veneer gold crown supported by composite resin core and dental amalgam core. It is summarized that the osteo- conduction potential of the bone is remained just after implanting the freeze-dried and radiation- sterilized allogeneic bone on Rectus abdominicus of the rat, but gradually it disappeared with the gradual increse of chronic inflammatory reaction and osteoclastic activity. So it is suggested that the antigenicity of the freeze-dried and radiation-sterilized bone is remained and it has little osteo-conductive activity when it is implanted in the muscle.

Vol.41 No.4

Statement of problem : Recently various implant components such as premachined gold cylinder, plastic cylinder gold UCLA abutment and plastic abutment were developed and used clinically without clinical investigation. Purpose : The purpose of this study was to evaluate the effects of fabrication of gold cylinder on the fitness and preload of the standard abutment and also the effects of fabrication of UCLA gold abutment on the fitness and stress transfer around the implant fixture. Material and method : Three kinds of gold cylinders such as, as-received gold cylinder (Nobel Biocare, Sweden), gold cylinder after casting, and plastic cylinder after casting with type IV gold alloy were tested over the top of the standard abutment. At the same time, three types of abutments such as, gold UCLA abutment before and after casting, and plastic abutment after casting were tested. The cylinder and abutment was secured over the fixture with conventional pre-load values using an electronic torque controller (Nobel Biocare, Sweden). The fitness of the abutment on the fixture and gold cylinder over the standard abutment were measured using the microhardness tester (MXT 70, Matsuzawa, Japan). Preload and the strain values were recorded using the strain balance unit (SB-10, Measurement group, Raleigh, USA) and strain indicator (P-3500, Measurement group, Raleigh, USA) systems. Results and conclusion : 1. Significant differences were found in the fit between the gold cylinder and plastic cylinder. 2 There were significant differences between the preload of the gold cylinder and that of the plastic cylinder. 3. Significant differences were found in the fit between the gold UCLA abutment and plastic UCLA abutment. 4. There were no significant differences in the stress generated on the supporting structure of the fixture among different cylinder and abutment groups.

Thermal Cycling에 따른 자가중합 레진의 결합강도에 관한 연구

        조혜원,하점임,Cho, Hye-Won,Ha, Jum-In 대한치과보철학회 1997 대한치과보철학회지 Vol.35 No.4

The purpose of this study was to evaluate the effects of two metal adhesive primers on the shear bond strengths of self-curing resin to Ni-Cr a]toy and the effects of 1000 thermal cycling on the durability of the bond. The two selected metal adhesive primers were Metal Primer II(G-C corp., Japan) and MR Bond(Tokuyama corp., Japan) and no treatment groups were used as control. All specimens were divided into two groups according to thermal cycling. In the group without thermal cycling, the specimens were stored in water for 24 hours. In the group with thermal cycling, the specimens were thermocycled 1000 times at temperature of $5^{\circ}C\;and\;55^{\circ}C$. Shear bond strengths were measured using the Universal testing machine(Zwick 145641, Germany) with a crosshead speed of 0.5 mm/min. The results were as follows: 1. MR Bond significantly improved the shear bond strength of resin to Ni-Cr alloy before and after thermal cycling. 2. There were no difference in the shear bond strength of resin to Ni-Cr alloy between Metal Primer II treated group and no treatment group. 3. Regardless of the type and the use of adhesive primers, there were tendency of decrease in shear bond strength with 1000 thermal cycling.
