        At present, the average annual growth rate of the elderly population in China is 3%, which is 1.4 times faster than the average annual population growth rate, which is 1.68%. According to statistics, in 2000, the number of elderly people aged 65 and over in China was 88.21 million, accounting for 6.96% of the total population. In 2015, this figure was 143.86 million, accounting for 10.5% of the country"s total population. In 2040, the elderly in China over 65 years old are expected to account for 25.6% of the total population. It is expected that China will enter the era of super ageing. It is estimated that by 2050, China will have more than 400 million elderly people aged 65 or older. China will become the most populous country in the world. It is expected that one out of every four people will be an old man. Prepare for the arrival of an aging society, through the characteristics of China"s aging and the physical characteristics of Chinese elderly.
