Early Childhood Teachers’ Content Knowledge on Movement Education

The purpose of the study was to examine early childhood teachers’ content knowledge of movement education. The subjects, 60 early childhood teachers, were asked to draw concept maps about early childhood movement education. Their concept maps were analyzed in terms of superordinate and subordinate concepts by contents and frequency. The results were as follows. First, 263 superordinate concepts were shown, and they were categorized into 10 representative terms (body movement/health, music, expression, movement type, movement element, games, integration/arts, social studies, tool/instrument, and math/science). Second, 2,186 subordinate concepts were shown, and running, movement, jumping, musical instrument, and expression were frequently shown. In conclusion, early childhood teachers’ content knowledge of movement education were various but insufficient in aspect of its systematic organization.
한국과 싱가포르의 6학년 도형영역 교과서 비교 분석 및 수학수업의 적용사례

In this research, I selected a Singapore elementary mathematics textbook which substantially reflects Singapore curriculum, and compared it with Korean one to understand how they differ in the contents system of the curriculum focused on the contents of the geometry and measurement strand, and analyzed their common points and different points intensively with textbooks for sixth-grade students. Also, I translated a chapter of the textbook, 'Mathematics in Action'. That chapter was about circumference and the area of the circle which is related to the shapes part. Then, I taught it to the experimental group to compare their achievement and the change of reaction to studying the shape-related parts with those of the control group. The results are the followings. First, when we analyze the contents of shape-related part of the textbooks for sixth-grade students of both countries, Singaporean textbook contains more contents that are introduced for the first time, which implies that it is more desirable to teach new concepts of shapes when students are in their higher grades. Second, as for the way they develop the activity of each chapter, Korean textbook sticks to a uniform way, while the Singapore textbook uses various ways for different subjects and grades. In addition, when they organize the contents of the textbook, they emphasize the importance of student's activity and lead students with various methods by suggesting several questions and situations.
반몰입형 가상현실 시스템을 이용한 게임 및 시지각 훈련 컨텐츠 개발

A Fully immersive virtual reality system requires much cost and heavy equipments, therefore still far away from general-purpose equipment. Our system requires only CCD camera and beam projector system for implementing half-immersive virtual reality system. We acquire user's action from CCD camera and show interactive moving picture in 2-dimensional screen space. We implemented some kinds of digital contents on our system, which can be used in interactive computer game and for developing person's sense of eyesight and perception.
CCD 카메라와 빔프로젝터를 이용한 비몰입형 2차원 가상현실 시스템

지금까지 구현된 대부분의 가상환경 시스템은 헤드마운트디스플레이(HMD), 트랙커, 핸드 글로브, 포스피트백 센서등의 전문적인 장비를 이용하여 구현되었으며 인터액티브한 장면을 연출하기 위하여 고속의 하드웨어 사양을 필요로 하였다. 현재 이러한 장비는 전문가가 아니면 사용하기가 어렵고 또 장비의 비용이 매우 고가이기 때문에 대중화되기까지 상당한 시간이 소요될 것으로 예상된다. 본 논문은 이와 같은 전문적인 장비가 아닌 범용장비에 속하는 CCD 카메라와 빔프로젝트를 활용하여 사용자가 인터액티브하게 참여할 수 있는 게임 시스템의 설계와 구현에 관한 논문이다. 이 시스템에서 사용자는 별도의 센스가 부착된 장비가 없이 간단한 색상 마커만을 가지고 컴퓨터가 생성한 가상 공간에서 빔 프로젝트로 구성한 가상 공간에서 캐릭터와의 실시간 게임을 즐길 수 있는 기능을 가지고 있다.
