        한우 출하전략 수립을 위한 도매시장 특성분석

        Beef grading and auction price are affecting to Hanwoo farm income. However, these factors are varied on the wholesale market for livestock product. This study attempted to analyze classification of livestock wholesale market to help farmers decision making process. Statistical analyses were used in this study were principal component analysis and two dimensional graph. The two dimensional graph was constructed based on the first principal component for auction price and beef grading. The first side of a quadrant of two dimensional graph is a group that is relatively high in beef grading and auction price, the second side of a quadrant is a group that is relatively high in auction price with lower beef grading, the third side of a quadrant is a group that is low in beef grading and auction price and the fourth side of a quadrant is a group that is high beef grading with lower auction price. The results from steers with 1++ grade show that NongHyup Seoul join market (slaughterhouse), Kimhae and Dodram LPC including in the first group were characterized by the secure destination for livestock product. Depending on the destination, 162,000 (Korean won) margin was occurred per head. As for the results of cow 1++ grade Kimhae, Bukyung, Dodram LPC were characterized by the secure destination for livestock product. Depending on the destination, 513,000 (Korean won) margin was occurred per head.

        국내 생햄시장의 시장성 평가

        This study attempts to analyze a raw ham`s domestic market situations and to evaluate its economic prospects. Market competitiveness of a raw ham based on opinions of experts in the meat processing fields and consumers. The weakness of a raw ham market is inclination of its demand and its high price. The opportunities for a raw ham market are increasing wine consumption, changes in food consumption pattern, an increasing trip abroad, high concern on fermented foods. While a size of current domestic raw ham market is about 500 million won, it is forecasted that it should increase up to 10 times but its growth should be slow due to limitation of its use in our food consumption. It is expected that the domestic production of a raw ham would raise an income of pig producers and stability of pork market and improve rural economy.
