신라 진흥왕대에 신라의 영역 안에 편입된 춘천지역은 중앙정부의 행정 제도의 변화에 따라 우수주, 수약주, 삭주, 광해주, 춘주로 변화하였지만, 지방행정 중심 지역의 기능을 지속해서 유지하였다. 즉, 춘천지역은 8세기 이후 당시 주치가 설치되면서 신라왕경과 대비되는 지방도시가 만들어졌으며, 이후 고려시대까지 방리가 유지되면서 관청, 사찰 그리고 생활유적과 생산유적이 위치하며, 외곽지역에는 경작지와 분묘가 확인된다. 이러한 모습은 신라왕경의 공간배치와 같은 모습을 보여주는 점에서 당시 지방도시의 경관을 복원할 수 있다. 그리고 당시 춘천의 방리 공간을 복원하기 위해서는 현재까지 조사된 자료들에 대한 종합적인 집성과 검토, 비교가 필요하며, 도시 외곽에 대한 조사가 확대될 필요가 있다. In other words, in the Chuncheon area, a local city was created in contrast to the royal capital of Silla with the establishment of the provincial capital at the time after the 8th century. The grave is confirmed. Since this appearance shows the same spatial arrangement as the Royal Capitals in Silla, it is possible to restore the landscape of the local city at the time. In order to restore the Bang-ri system of Chuncheon at the time, a comprehensive compilation, review, and comparison of the materials surveyed to date are necessary, and the survey needs to be expanded to the outskirts of the city.
