This study represents understanding for characteristic of exhaust gas when installed the catalytic converter in the motorcycle. And select capacity for optimum catalytic monolith and confirmed effectiveness of catalytic monolith. Exhaust gas measurements experiment result shows existing catalytic converter have faint reduction capability of exhaust gas. And the motorcycle operates by carburetor as fuel device has no effect about He reduction. Therefore, experiment of measuring Light-off section and capacity of catalytic monolith are required.
Study on the Optimum Thermal Performance of Metallic Foam Heat Exchanger

Since metallic foam will increase the performance of heat exchanger, it has caused many researchers' attention recently. Our research based on the model that metallic foams applied to heat exchanger. In this case, there is three kinds of heat transfer mechanisms, heat conduction in fibers, heat transfer by conduction in fluid phase, and internal heat change between solid and fluid phases. In this paper we study both the hydraulic and thermal aspect performance. Pressure drop along airflow direction will be presented. As thermal aspect, we first discuss the acceptance of applying thermal equilibrium among the two phases, then to calculate the dimensionless temperature profile, the heat transfer coefficient and Nu number in 7 Aluminum foams.

This study represents numerical study on the thermal and fluid flow characteristics of exhaust gas in a motorcycle muffler. The reference engine was used 124.㏄ small displacement. Numerical analysis with computational fluid dynamics(CFD) was carried out to investigate the exhaust gas that flow into a motorcycle muffler. The STAR-CD S/W used to three dimensional steady state CFD analysis in a muffler. And than We got the information of static pressure it is used to structural analysis ant the first baffle plate using the commercial CAE code ANSYS workbench. Exhaust gas flow third chamber from frist chamber and running second chamber. A simulation result shows that each chamber of muffler temperature is about 460 K, 445 and 463K and pressure is about 22,000 Pa, 16,000 Pa and 10,000 Pa.

The purpose of this study is further research to achieve deeper understanding about mixing system using gas-liquid ejector. First investigate the influence of operating conditions and geometricalparameters on the hydrodynamics and mass transfer properties of mixing system. This paper provides a literature review on the ejector applications in mixing system. A number of researches are grouped and discussed in several topics such as background, theory of ejector, mixing characteristics, optimization of the system. Since the high efficiencies reactor using ejector are widely used in gas-liquid system, especially in chemical and biochemical processes. This is also due to the high efficiency in gas dispersion resulting in high mass transfer rate and low power requirements. Circulation and gas dispersion are achieved when the liquid injected into reactor with high velocity which entrain the gas phase and create a fine dispersion of the two phases.
