In this paper, I consider Axial Flux Permanent Magnet Generator to alter stator tooth of the model following the lamination direction. There is different points for 2 and 3-Dimensional Finite Element Method. Characteristics of 2D FEM are it can state relative analysis in quick time while it has to make the sections of stator tooth following the lamination direction. And characteristics of 3D FEM are it is generally difficult to calculate many elements. but 3D FEM is able to calculate correct analysis. so I compare between 2 and 3-Dimensional Finite Element Method about Characteristic analysis like Back EMF, Cogging Torque, Flux density of Axial Flux Permanent Magnet Generator. Finally I demonstrate how to use the method according to circumstances.
