영상진동벨 광고에 대한 수용자들의 인식 조사 및 개선 방향 제안

최근 프랜차이즈 영업점에서 사용되는 무선 호출기에 영상 화면을 접목시킨 영상진동벨이 새로운 광고 채널로 급부상하고 있다. 타겟팅이 용이하고 매장을 방문하는 대부분의 사람들에게 push형으로 제공된다는 점이 해당 광고채널의 강점이나 강제적인 노출이 높은 주목도를 뜻하지는 않는다. 본 연구의 목적은 소비자들이 영상진동벨에서 제공되는 광고에 반응하는 정도와 태도를 살펴봄으로써 유의미한 광고 채널인지를 밝히는데 있다. 본 연구의 실험은 영상진동벨을 사용하는 연세대학교 교내 카페에서 카페 이용자들을 대상으로 관찰 조사와 설문 조사를 시행하였으며, 무작위 추출법에 의해 얻어진 35명의 표본으로부터 설문 결과를 얻었다. 조사 결과는 영상진동벨의 광고에 대해 수용자들이 다소 낮은 주목도를 보이고 있으며 광고 회피 반응 또한 높은 것으로 나타났다. 본 연구는 실험 결과를 바탕으로 영상진동벨의 광고 주목도를 높이기 위한 보완 방안을 제시함으로써 영상진동벨이 향후 새로운 광고 채널로서 발전하는데 도움을 줄 수 있을 것으로 기대한다. The wireless paging system has been increased in use at the place with waiting customers such as franchise cafes. Accordingly, it has become an emerging new advertising media by inserting advertisements in paging devices. However, there is no existing study on this new advertising channel. This paper explores the customer’s advertising awareness and responses towards advertisements in wireless pagers. We classified the factors of advertisements that attract customers into three: individuality, utility, and amusement. Based on these three factors, we analyzed customer awareness and response by collecting data from 35 survey responses from university cafeteria that uses wireless paging system. The result shows that advertisements through wireless pagers had little customer’s awareness and eye gazing. The significance of this paper is analyzing status quo of advertising in wireless paging devices and suggestions to enhance attractiveness of advertisements in this new channel.
