In this thesis, When Isotropic material and was loading by spherical indenter. stres distribution and deformation was investigated by the finite element method.<br/> As the semi-infinite body is given compressive loading, the body is governed by Hertz conta law. But if the Thickness is thin, The stress distribution and deformed degree of the body w be differ from Hertz law. Through study it is reveal that the body which is thick plate, same loading condition, has maximum compressive stress higher than the thick plate, and<br/> contact region is narrow, that is, the thin plate has wide contact region and maximum compressive stress decreases by bending and other effects. And the transition region is very narrow from thick plate characteristics to thin plate characteristics.<br/>

When dominated convective tenn applied to a convection diffusion heat transfer problems, finite elment analysis give poor accuracy in a high Pe(Peclet number). It is important to get a more accurate finite elemnet analysis result that we determine the critical value of Peclet number and measure Peclet number, which produces oscillated result. In this study, we expect temperature and stress distributions for various Pe by the 3 dimensional finite elemnet model and manifest the Peclet number when the oscillation occurs from the result under the convective heat transfer boundary conditions. In order to get the more accurate finite element analysis result, it is proposed the numerical technique that eliminating the oscilatory error components in the period of Pe that temperature distributions are not valid From the yielding criteria, we check the influence of resulting temperature and stress distributions on the materials<br/> <br/>

An algorithm was developed for structural durability analysis. DADS. MSC/ NASTRAN. and MSC/FATIGUE were utilized as analysing tools of dynamics. statics. and fatigue. respectively. Using the proposed method seems to be practically usuable for durability analysis such as automobiles and machinery.
유한요소법을 이용한 점탄성 물체의 충격거동에 관한 연구

In the study, the finite element analysis was utilized to investigate the low velocity impact behavior of a viscoelastic body on the rigid floor. Newmark constant-acceleration algorithm was implemented for time integration of differential terms and Graham's static indentation law adopted for the contact force estimation.Stresses depending on loading history processed with memory terms. The solution was formed by direct integration rather than inverse Laplace method or elastic-viiscoelastic analogy. The visco-elastic behavior was expressed via Prony series for the simpler finite element equations. The viscoelastic body with low velocity impact revealed lower stresses compared to the elastic case and the time to a maximum contact force was retarded. The results of initial elastic modulus of relaxation function were compared to those of viscoelastic body<br/>
