Depth Image-Based Rendering (DIBR) has received attention for generating virtual view in 3D display. However disocclused hole filling problem still remains as a challenging issue due to the artifacts along boundaries of the foreground. Faithful hole filling method along boundaries is proposed in this paper. The proposed method fills background region prior to boundary region and weights background pixels more for matching boundary region patches. The experimental results show the proposed method has reduced artifacts significantly.
