N/A The gastrofiherscopy is now considered to be one of the essential diagnostic method of gastric disease. We have ohserved clinically with personal computer analysis on stomach disease. A clinical analysis was carried out on 16,473 patient taken gastrofiberscopy who were considered to have somc stomach disease clincally from February 1980 to July 1987 in dept of internal medicine, Kang Nam Sacred Heart Hospital. Thereafter, the following results were obtained.1) Of 16,473 patient taken gastrofiberscopy, patients who diagnosed having gastric ulcer, cancer, polyp were 2,025 patients. 2) This 2,025 patients revealed that gastric ulcer is the highest frequency (61.3%), the next was gastric cancer (31.6%), and gastric polyp (7.1%) in order. 3) The most prevalent sites of 2.025 patients were body with rate of 36% and next came angle, antrum in order. 4) Viewing the stomach laterally, lesser curvature was most prevalent site and next carne anterior portion, posterior portion, circular portion, greater curvature in order. 5) The most prevalent site of stomach ulcer was angle with the rate of 36.4% and next came body and antrum while lesser curvature was most prevalent site viewing the stomach laterally. 6) The most prevalent site of early stomach cancer was antrum with the rate of 41.6% and next carne body and angle, while lesser curvature was most prevalent site viewing the stomach laterally. 7) The most prevalent site of advanced cancer was antrum with the rate of 47.2% and next came body while lesser curvature was most prevalent site viewing the stomach laterally. 8) The most prevalent site of gastric polyp was antrum with the rate of 58.0% while posterior wall was most prevalent site viewing the stomach laterally.
