Through this study, 2D multibody dynamics models for analysis of train collisions have been verified by the comparison of the 1D dynamic model of the KHST(Korean High Speed Train). The main crushable sections of 2D dynamic model are composed of two nonlinear spring made out of crush characteristic of 3D KHST. 2D model can evaluate overriding phenomena, impact force of spring coupled by bogie in train collision. In order to compare of 1D dynamic model, Two dynamic models are made out of same crush characteristic and length in a same section. also 2D model constraints displacements of gravity direction. The collision accident scenarios is a train-to-train collision at the relative speed of 36 kph in the crashworthiness regulation. It is shown from the simulation results that the analysis results of 2D model is similar with the 1D model.
