An experimental study was carried out to investigate the enhancement of heat transfer from the in-line and staggered arrays of oval tubes in the plate fin - tube heat exchanger with delta - wing type vortex generators(DWVG). Measurements of average heat(mass) - transfer coefficients on the tube surface were made using a naphthalene sublimation technique, and the flow losses were measured for Reynolds number ranging from 2000 to 3200. The influence of vortex generators parameters such as position and angle of attack was investigated. It was found that the heat transfer enhancement were increased by the existence of a vortex generators and flow losses were decreased by the oval tubes. The results indicate that performance of plate fin - tube heat exchanger can be improved simultanously by using vortex generators and oval tubes.

CAI(Computer Assisted Instruction)에 있어서 효과적인 학습 전략의 제어는 효과적인 교육의 성공 여부와 직결된다. 학습 전략의 제어는 크게 세 가지로 나누어 볼 수 있는데, 저작자 직접 제어 방식은 간단하지만 정적 학습 전략(static learning strategy)만을 구현할 수 있기 때문에 효과적으로 교육을 실시할 수 없고, 내용 분석 제어 방식은 동적 학습 전략 (dynamic learning strategy)을 구현할 수 있지만, 구현하는데 시간과 비용이 많이 든다. 그에 비해 정보 분석 제어 방식은 흐름이 간단하여 이해하기 쉽고, 동적 학습 전략을 수월하게 구현할 수 있는 장점을 가지고 있다. ACAI (Adaptive Computer Assisted Instruction)는 학습 전략의 제어에 정보 분석 제어 방식을 채택하여 동적 학습 전략을 쉽게 구현할 수 있도록 하였으며, 다양한 평가 방법을 제공하여 학습자의 이해도를 종합적이고, 합리적으로 측정할 수 있게 하였다.

The flow and heat transfer characteristics at the surface of two-dimensional protruding heated blocks using confined impingement multiple slot jets were computationally investigated. Numerical predictions were made for round-edged nozzles at several the distances between the blocks with turbulent jet Reynolds numbers ranging from 2000 to 7800. The commercial finite-volume code FLUENT was used to solve the heat transfer characteristics and flow fields using a RNG R-ε model. The computed heat transfer characteristics at the surface of heated blocks were in good qualitative agreement with previous experimental data. The results of influence heat transfer on the impingement surface are important considerations in electronics packaging design.

The effect of inclination on the steady, two-dimensional, laminar natural convection in rectangular enclosures with localized heating from below has been investigated numerically. The enclosure was uniformly heated with a partial heat source at the center of the bottom wall and cooled from the upper wall while the other walls were insulated. The governing equations were solved numerically by using the ADI finite difference method with the SOR method. The computations were carrid out with air, Pr =0.733, in the Grashof number range, $1\times10^4\~3\times10^4$, for the inclination of the enclosures was varied from $0^{\circ}\;to\;90^{\circ}$. The effects of Grashof number and aspect ratio on the inclination for the transition of the flow pattern in enclosures were determined. From the results, it was found that the transition angles of the flow in the enclosures were greater in localized heating than in uniform heating from below, and that the inclination was to strongly effect on the heat transfer and the flow pattern within the enclosure.

In the present paper, the effect of delta-wing vortex generators(DWVGs) on heat transfer of the plate fin-oval tube heat exchanger was experimentally studied. The local heat transfer coefficient of the tube surface of one kind of DWVGs arrangement were measured by naphthalene sublimation technique for Reynolds numbers of 2000 ~ 3200 and angles of attack of DWVG of 30°~60°. As the results, compared to the case without DWVGs, the heat transfer of the plate fin surface with DWVGs was enhanced from upstream to downstream in the test region. The heat transfer were significantly affected by angles of attack of DWVGs as well as Reynolds number. It showed that the result of 45° was best within test angles.

In the present study, the effect of delta-wing vortex generators(DWVG) on the local heat transfer of the plate fin-oval tube was experimentally analyzed for Reynolds numbers for 2000, 2500 and 3200. The local heat transfer coefficient of the fin surface for four type DWVGs was measured by the naphthalene sublimation technique. As the results, the distribution of the heat transfer coefficient at rear of DWVGs showed longitudinal contours for common flow down DWVGs and wavy contours for common flow up DWVGs. The distribution showed many cell type contours at near wall and downstream for all DWVGs. Compared to case without DWVGs in present experimental tests, all DWVGs showed the best enhancement of heat transfer at Re=2000. Of 4 cases of DWVGs, D type showed the best enhancement of heat transfer.

In present study, the flow field near the fin surface of plate fin - oval tube heat exchanger with delta wing vortex generator was numerically analyzed. As results, the well developed vortex behind delta wing was observed. These vortex can improve heat transfer fin surface behind delta wing vortex generators.
