범죄 피해자의 경찰의 대응 만족도에 영향을 미치는 경찰활동 특성에 대한 연구

Police aim to provide high-quality security services to citizens as the provider. Although many studies have been conducted on the satisfaction of police services to provide better services in general, the research on the satisfaction of crime victims is limited. This study suggests the direction in police activities to improve satisfaction in the future based on the satisfaction evaluation of police service provided by victims who have experienced crime victimization. Based on the literature, the police activities variables were classified into the ‘procedural quality’ and ‘result quality,’ and the satisfaction level of the victims was analyzed. The results of the analysis showed that the demographic characteristics of the victims and the types of victimization did not have a significant effect on satisfaction. In contrast, the procedural and the result qualities, which are the police response activities, affected satisfaction. In particular, the procedural quality factors were the main factors in the police satisfaction of crime victims, and the degree of understanding of the process of the case rather than solving the case was the main factor in determining the satisfaction level.
