3D printing can provide several products of complex shapes at the same time and is efficient in producing small quantities of multiple varieties by minimizing component assembly. In particular, FDM 3D printing is used in various industrial fields due to its fast production time and low cost. Despite these advantages, there is a disadvantage in that it is easily deformed by physical force in a high temperature environment, and thus, 3D prints are used only in mock-up and jig rather than actual defense products in the defense industry. However, defense products are easily exposed to harsh environmental conditions because of environmental testing. The conditions applied to each product part vary depending on the design, and there are parts exposed to relatively non-harsh conditions, and these parts are considered applicable to FDM-type outputs. Therefore, in this study, the loading limit was derived through the load test for each temperature of the FDM output, and the applicability of the FDM output to the defense product was examined through the structural analysis technique.
