Magnetic levitation system is unstable. Thus in order to control position of unstable system, it is necessary to linearize a stationary state and feedback rearl time position, and also, the controller of computer is used on the real time control and one-board controller such as i80C196KC, TMS320VC33 and TMS320C31 is regularly used. However, in this study, Atmel AVR micro-controller, ATmega 128 is used because the controller is cheap and papular. We designed and made ATmega 128 one-board controller and aimed to verify validity.

The magnetic bearing system is widely applied to the suspension of rotors on the rotary machineries at the special condition, because this system has many advantages such as less mechanical friction and heat generation, no noise, no lubrication and so on. The magnetic bearing system is inherently an unstable system, so this system needs the controller to stabilize the system. Many studies are devoted to the design of controllers that make the system stabilize and the analysis that finds the system's dynamic characteristics. This paper concern about the PID controller that stabilized the magnetic bearing system with control signal separating. Firstly, we already get the transfer function for the current amplifier's circuit form amp. input to current output and the magnetic baring system from reference input to levitated object's displacement. Secondly we will experiment on the magnetic bearing system that separate the control signal or not with the step response experiment and the step disturbance one. And we will compare the response experiments between the magnetic bearing system with control signal separating or not. Finally, we will confirm the system that separated control signal is better disturbance rejection and the reference tracking performance than the system didn't separated.
