비행청소년의 집단미술치료 체험 : 소년보호시설 청소년을 중심으로

본 연구는 비행청소년들이 집단미술치료를 통해 경험한 것의 본질적 의미를 탐구하여 비행 청소년들에 대한 섬충적 이해를 위한 자료를 제공하고자 하였다. 이러한 연구 목적을 달성하기 위해서 van Manen의 해석학적 현상학의 연구 방법을 재구성하여 적용하였다. 연구 참여자들은 서울가정법원, 인천·수원 지방법원 4 호 처분 수탁교육원인 경기도 양주시 소재 ‘ N 청소년의 집’에 거주하는 12명의 남자 비행청소년들이다. 이들을 대상으로 2004년 5월부터 2004년 8월 까지 총 10회의 집단미술치료를 진행하였고, 전체 회기를 마친 후에 집단미술치료의 체험을 위주로 참여자들과 개별면담을 가졌다. 본 연구는 비행청소년들이 경험한 집단미술치료 체험의 의미에 대하여 다음과 같은 결론을 내릴 수 있다. 첫째, 비행청소년들의 집단미술치료 체험은 마음속에 묻어두었던 감정들올 표출시키는 경험이다. 집단미술치료는 참여 청소년에게 억눌러 두었던 부모님과 가족에 대한 감정들과 현재 시설 생활에서 느끼는 답답합과 분노를 분출시키는 기회를 제공해주었다. 둘째, 비행청소년들의 집단미술치료 체험은 자기 자신에 대한 이해와 통찰을 바탕으로 미래에 대한 희망을 갖게 되는 경험이다. 셋째, 비행청소년들은 집단미술치료를 통하여 타인에 대한 이해와 대인관계에 대한 탐색의 의미를 체험할수 있었다. 이러한 집단 상호작용의 경험은 비행청소년틀에게 대인관계 기술의 획득, 자존감 증대, 사회성 향상을 가져올 것이다. The purpose of this study is to examine the essential meaning of the juvenile delinquents’ experiences and feelings from the group art therapy and to provide the general understanding of juvenile delinquents. To achieve the purpose of this study, Van Manen’s henneneutic phenomenology was reorganized for the study and used as a theoretical foundation and a methodological structure. The participants of this study were 12 juvenile delinquents from “N Juvenile Center" which is the 4th trust detention center of the Seoul Court of Farnily Affair, the Incheon and Soowon District Court in YangJoo, Gyunggido. To collect the infonnation, 10 times of the group 때 therapy was done from May 2004 to August 2004 and the individual meeting was conducted for the experiment group for the experience discussing after the period of the therapy. πle following results can be made for the meaning of the group art therapy that the juvenile delinquents experienced based on the main subjects and their subordinate subjects. First, the group art therapy for the juvenile delinquents was the experience of expressing the feelings they have been hiding inside of their mind. The therapy gave them an opportunity to freely express their repressed feelings, closed and angry feelings from the life inside of the detention center. Secondly, the therapy was the experience that gave them a hope for the future based on the understanding and discerning themselves. The understanding and discerning themselves gained from the group art therapy gave the juvenile delinquents a self confidence as well as a positive view for the future accelerating the will of improvement. Third, the group art therapy for juvenile delinquents was an experience of questing for understanding of others and relationship with others. The perception of oneself in interactive relationship, the acquisition of personal relation skills and the experience of being accepted and supported in the group will help improving their sociality in personal relationship when they go back to society.
