본 연구는 유아교사의 전문성 인식에 영향을 미치는 관련변인을 탐색해 보기 위한 목적으로 시도되었다. 전라북도 J시에 소재하고 있는 유치원 현직교사 175명을 대상으로 유아교사의 전문성 인식과 관련된 변인을 탐색한 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 유아교사의 전문성 인식에 가장 큰 영향을 미치고 있는 변인은 교직관심사 하위변인인 강화관심사였으며 다음으로는 성숙관심사인 것으로 나타났다. 교사의 배경특성변인으로서는 결혼여부와 근무경력으로 나타나서, 결혼한 이후와 근무경력이 높아질수록 전문성에 대한 인식이 증대함을 알 수 있었다. 둘째, 교사의 교직관심사에 따른 전문성 인식의 차이에서도 강화관심사와 성숙관심사 요인에서 유의미한 차이가 나타났다. 따라서 자기강화와 자기성숙에 대한 교직관심사가 낮은 집단보다는 높은 집단에 속하는 교사들일수록 전문성 인식 수준이 높다는 것을 알 수 있었다. 본 연구결과를 통해, 교사교육자들이 교사의 관심사에 대한 안목과 통찰력을 기르는 것이 교사활동 이해 및 교사교육에 있어 매우 중요함을 제안하였다. First, the elements to most affect the degree of recognizing specialty of kid teachers are "self developing efforts" as a subordinate concept to be concerned with the teaching profession, which are followed by "self maturing efforts" as the 2nd causes. For the surrounding elements to affect teaching performances, marriages and teaching experiences seem to be high relevant to them, and being married and many years of teaching resulted in the higher recognition of teaching specialty. Second, on difference of recognition about teaching specialty, "self developing efforts" & "self maturing efforts" seem to play a considerable role. Therefore, a group of teachers to be high concerned about "self developing efforts" & "self maturing efforts" resulted in having the higher degree to recognize the professional specialty than a low concerning group. The study suggests that our society needs to provide opportunities for teachers to constantly explore in their interesting and special fields, while trying not to require for teachers to blindly follow the existing educational systems and to recklessly accept every demands from surroundings. These efforts of the society can eventually help teachers produce a qualified educational service to children according to their belief & faith. Meanwhile, the study also put an emphasize on another fact that supervisors to lead teachers shall build up expert's eye & insight about teacher's interesting matters to have better understanding about teaching performances and professions.
