We carried out impact test and simulation of door trim in order to enhance simulation accuracy of full vehicle side impact. Each door trim was fixed at rigid wall and an impactor was thrown upon it with initial velocity Plastic material property and assembly structure of door trim were thoroughly investigated to develop an appropriate analysis model. Good correlation was obtained between test and simulation. Full vehicle simulation revealed that the effect of chosen parameters was significant for injury prediction.

The sharp edge in a full-scale Car Side Impact caused injury to the drivers. It is important to prevent sharp edge of full-scale Car through a pre-verification. The pre-verification system is verified by side impact test of full-scale car. However, this test spends a lot of money and time for sharp edge of using the full-scale car. So, there are limited number of examinations. In order to solve like this problem, the method that predict sharp edge of door trim is a necessary for auto part manufactures. This paper is purposed to describes a theory of the advanced side impact test and cae to improve sharp edge of door trim. It puts emphasis on analyzing sharp edge from simplified impact test and cae to improve sharp edge based on preceding verification. The research may lead to prediction of sharp edge before full scale side impact test

This research is about a door trim assessment for the passenger safety when it does a side impact. We are research about the method to verify the door trim before the full car side impact test. We have prescribed by the nation at the laws and regulations assessment method the case of a full car side impact test. But an assessment regulation about the door trim only does not exist. We related with full car side impact simulation and studied a goal performance of the door trim. We studied the goal absorption energy and impactor velocity for evaluate a door trim side impact performance. A door trim goal performance which is desired by the vehicle has the difference. We used the energy to happen after a side impact and found the goal absorption energy. We found a impactor velocity of a door trim assessment device from an energy relation. We prepared theoretical key point for a goal performance assessment about every vehicle through this research.
