The vehicle-occupant impact dynamics during a crash are studied using simple mathematical model. The model yields an analytical relationship between occupant responses and physical parameters of the vehicle structure and occupant restraint system. These parametric relationships that verified by experimental crash tests of the vehicle are useful in describing the physical concepts of the impact event and predicting occupant dynamic behavior during a vehicle crash. This parametric model is applied to experimental crash tests; the predicted head acceleration corresponds to test result. It is concluded that this parametric model is useful to predict the trend of head acceleration. The limitations of the model are discussed and the design guide is represented to aid designer to improve the restraint system.<br/>

CAE Analysis has been applied for design of advanced airbag; however, the optimum design has not been completed for reducing the injuries of dummy in various test conditions of new FMVSS 208. In this study, the multi-objective optimization was applied for design of airbag to reduce the injuries in three typical crash tests. It was shown that for reducing the head injuries and chest injuries, the optimization of vent diameter and tether length of airbag could be carried out very easily and quickly by the multi-objective optimization approach.

Although the improvement in occupant restraint system has been successful in increasing occupant survival rate in real world crashes, lower leg injuries frequently occur in frontal crashes, and general restraint system has been shown to have little effect on the reduction of lower leg injury risk. In study of offset frontal crashes, researchers found a relationship between tibia injuries and the amount of toe board intrusion. The paper evaluates lower leg injuries using two occupant analysis methods (PSM, PMM) with the dynamic toe board intrusion. It is found that models are able to predict the response of lower leg in offset crash tests. The paper will investigate the relation between contact stiffness and footwell rotation and response of lower leg for improving the accuracy of lower leg injuries.

블루투스(Bluetooth) 스캐터넷(Scatternet)은 2 개 이상의 피코넷(Piconet)을 연결함으로 구성되는 애드혹(ad hoc) 네트웍이다. 피코넷은 하나의 마스터(Master)노드와 다수의 슬레이브(Slave)노드로 구성되는데 이때 마스터 노드는 슬레이브노드에 비해서 더 큰 파워를 소모하게 된다. 따라서 파워를 고려하여 블루투스 피코넷의 마스터를 선출한다면 피코넷의 수명을 늘릴 수 있을 뿐 아니라 전체 스캐터넷의 수명을 늘릴 수 있게 된다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 파워를 고려한 피코넷 마스터 선출 알고리즘을 제안하고 더 나아가서 망이 한번 구성된 이후에도 파워를 고려해서 마스터를 재선출할 것을 제안한다.
도서지역내 LNG-디젤 혼소엔진을 이용한 발전기 적용성 평가 연구

Until now, diesel generators have been used for electricity generation of Korean Islands. As the price of diesel increases and CO₂ emission regulation is getting stricter, it is limited to use diesel fuel. To use LNG-diesel dual fuel engine as an alternative, economic and environmental analysis was carried out. The results showed that the electricity cost of the dual fuel was 547won/㎾h and that of diesel fuel was 710won/㎾h, and 23% of the electricity cost could be reduced. Also the emission of GHG and harmful exhaust gas could be reduced; by CO₂ 25%, NOx 88%, SOx and PM 99%.

The fuel economy and emissions in a developing port injection gasoline engine with manual transmission were studied using a transient engine test bed. Because the fuel economy and emissions in the first few minutes during engine warmup show great importance, the first ECE cycle in NEDC mode was simulated. To match the fuel economy and emission levels with the roller bed test results, driver model on clutch and acceleration pedal actions were thoroughly adjusted to match engine speed and engine load of the vehicle. The faster catalyst light-off was investigated by varying crank-to-run air-fuel ratio and idle spark timing. and results showed that slightly lean air fuel ratio was more effective in heating lip the catalyst than retarding idle spark timing in terms of fuel economy. The additional engine EMS calibrations were performed to improve cruise operation points and idle regions using DOE method with L9 orthogonal test array. The overall results showed that both the fuel economy and emissions were improved during first ECE cycle in the NEDC mode test by the EMS calibration performed in this study.
IEEE 802.11 무선 Ad Hoc 망에서 경쟁노드가 라우팅 경로 형성에 미치는 영향

본 논문에서는 IEEE 802.11 을 기반으로 하는 무선 Ad Hoc 망에서 데이터의 송신자 노드와 목적지 노드의 중간 노드들의 전송을 방해하고 채널을 경쟁하는 경쟁노드들이 Shortest-path 라우팅 경로 설정에 미치는 영향을 분석한다. 데이터를 전송하는 중간 노드들이 다수의 경쟁노드를 가지고 있을 경우 MAC delay 가 큰 변수로 작용하며 multi-hop 환경이기 때문에 hidden terminal 문제가 발생한다. 또한 AODV 와 같은 on-demand 라우팅 알고리즘은 경로를 찾기 위해서 Route Request 패킷을 브로드캐스트 하는데 이때 브로드캐스트 패킷의 성공적인 전송이 보장되지 않기 때문에 경쟁노드의 방해가 심한 경우 경로를 찾는데 실패할 가능성이 높아진다. 본 논문에서는 이러한 특성들을 근거로 경쟁노드의 수와 분포가 라우팅 경로 선택에 영향을 미친다는 것을 지적한다.
