『주역참동계(周易參同契)』의 양생관(養生觀)에 드러난 교육적 특성

『주역참동계(周易參同契)』는 『주역』을 중심으로 황로학(黃老學)을 융합하고 내단(內丹)과 외단(外丹)의 연단(鍊丹)사상을 담아 만들어낸 『주역』 연찬서이다. 이는 『주역』의 우주 변화 생성순서에 근거하여 황로학으로 연단 수련의 모형을 도출하고, 우주 생성론의 변화 법칙이 인체(人體)의 정기(精氣) 운용 법칙과 동일하다는 연단 수련의 관점을 제기한다. 아울러 우주 자연의 원리가 인간 사회의 법칙에 적용되어 통합되어야 한다는 천인합일(天人合一)의 시선을 확대하고 강화한다. 그 핵심 내용은 노화(爐火)를 통한 양생(養生)으로 생명 교육의 차원을 담고 있다. 즉 인간은 우주 자연의 변화 원리에 따라 자신의 성명(性命)을 규정하고 화후(火候)의 과정을 통해 수양과 단련을 하는 교육적 존재임을 부각한다. 그 근본이 사물들 상호 간에 이루어지는 생명의 교환이자 생명의 영원함을 약속하기 위한 활력의 보전인 양생이다. 이런 차원에서 『주역참동계』는 주형(鑄型)을 통한 야금술(冶金術)에 의거하여 외부로부터 내부로 투영되는 수련 방식인 외단의 연단술 교육이고, 호흡을 통해 선인(仙人)이 되기를 희구하는 내단의 단전술 교육이다. 이는 인간 사회에 생명의식과 활력을 불어 넣으려는 삶의 예방과 치료책으로 예술적 차원의 기술인 동시에 철학적 성격을 지닌다. Juyeokchamdonggye(周易參同契) is a research book on Juyeok(周 易) which contains the philosophy of yeondan(鍊丹) of naedan(內丹) and oedan(外丹); it incorporates hwangnohak(黃老學) in its system. It derives training model through hwangnohak(黃老學) based on the sequence through which the universe changes as specified in Juyeok(周易). Also, it claims that the law of change of the formation of the universe is the same as the law of the operation of Jeonggi(精氣) of human body. Moreover, it reinforces and expands the view of Cheonilhabil(天人合一), which states that the principle of the universe should be applied to the law of human society. The crux of the reinforced ideas contains a dimension of life education, consisting of the idea of nohwa(爐火) through yangsaeng(養生). In other words, the book highlights the fact that man is being in the process of education through which he or she cultivates and trains by defining his or her own Seongmyeong(性命) and going through the process of hwahu(火候). Its basis is yangsaeng, the preservation of vitality, which is a promise of the eternity of life and a trade of life that occur between objects. In this sense, Juyeokchamdonggye(周易參同契) is the education of the art of Yeondan of oedan, a training process from outside to inside based on yageumsul(冶金術) through juhyeong(鑄型), as well as the education of the art of Danjeon of naedan, a training process aimed at becoming seonin(仙人) through breathing. Being a guide book so as to prevent suffering and heal the would, the book is both philosophical and practical.
