Vol.35 No.2

The purpose of this study is the effects of the sports massage before having exercise, by analyzing how the professional sports massage shoulder technique influences on Agonist and Synergist during push-ups. It has studied 15 office workers using computer for a long time in a ”S” company, located in Songpagu, Seoul. The participants were composed of 10 men and 5 women (Age: 27.26+-2.12years, Height: 172.35+-8.91cm, Weight: 67.72+-13.23kg); they have had no experience on the injured shoulder and elbow joint recently and were able to exercise push-ups. The participants were informed beforehand how to exercise push-ups consistently. The activities were measured three times for 5 seconds in flexion and extension period excluding the start and end points of a second in isometric position and the results were averaged. The measure of the muscle activity had been repeated and compared with the value after 10 minutes professional sports massage shoulder technique and 5 minutes rest. The result of this study is that there is statistically a significant difference in muscle agonist activity of the pectoralis major at the bend section after sport massage, and also in the ratio of pectoralis major and upper and lower trapezius. therefore, the professional sports massage shoulder technique applied to reduce the tension of the upper trapezius, and the muscle activity of the pectoralis major, which is the agonist for push-ups, was increased by unstable shoulder movement mitigation.

노인의 단관절 움직임과 복합관절 움직임의 관절가동범위 비교분석

윤우람 ( Yoon Wooram ),임희성 ( Lim Heesung ) 한국체육대학교 체육과학연구소 2019 스포츠사이언스 Vol.36 No.2

The purpose of this study is to compare the correlation between the active range of motion of lower limbs when lying or sitting exercises, and the range of motion of lower limbs when sit to stand in one's capable range as a functional movement for the elderly who has no musculoskeletal disease and no pain in the lower limbs movement. It has studied 24 healthy elderly men (age: 80.1 ± 5.7, height: 163.2 ± 5.1, weight: 65.2 ± 10.8) healthy without musculoskeletal diseases. After the preparation exercise, the active range of joint motion of the lower limb was measured in the lying posture using the goniometer in the bed, and the reflection marker was attached after 10 minutes rest. Then, the subjects performed sit to stand (STS) three times, and selected a high quality one. The analysis section was set to return to the initial position after sitting to the maximum in standing position. For the kinematic analysis of the lower limb, eight infrared cameras (Oqus 300, Qualiysis, Sweden) were used. The sampling rate was 100 Hz and the noise was removed using a Butterworth 2th low-pass filter and at this time, the cut-off frequency was set to 6 Hz. As a result of looking at the correlation between the active range of motion of the elderly over 65 years old and the range of joint motion STS, there was no correlation between the range of joint motion each corresponding right and left hip, knee and ankle. According to the descriptive statistics, the hip joint of the active range of motion was about 125 °, and the hip joint of STS motion was 76 ~ 79 °, which was smaller in the bending range than the active range of motion (p<.001). Knee joint of active range of motion was 139 ~ 140 °. Knee joint of STS motion was 96 - 98 °, which was smaller than active range of motion (p<.001). Finally, in the ankle joint, the active range of motion was about 11 °, and the ankle joint in STS motion was about 28 °, which was larger than that of the active range of motion (p<.001). Therefore, It is thought that exercise to move the complex joints while maintaining the stability of the joints and supporting the weight by the movement similar to the posture used in daily life will improve the ability of the elderly to perform daily activities.
