Software standards for Aerospace industry can be divided into airborne software standards and CNS/ATN(Communications, Navigation, Surveillance/ Air Traffic Management) software standards. DO-178B is software standard for airborne systems and do 278 is software standard for CNS/ATM systems. In order to develop reliable software for aerospace industry, it is necessary to apply these software standards. In this paper, we analysis relationship of assurance guidelines in aerospace industry, system safety process, and software assurance level in DO-178B and DO-278A.

In order to realize the individual control and monitoring in airfield light systems, due to high installation and maintenance cost for the additional control line, PLC(power line communication) technology was applied and adopted for controlling Airfield light. The ILCMS(Individual Light Control and Monitoring System) is suitable for individual switching and monitoring of airfield lighting in order to meet latest ICAO(International Civil Aviation Organization) and FAA(Federal Aviation Authority) recommendations, to enhance safety of aircraft ground movement in aerodrome and to built up the basis for an A-SMGCS(Advanced Surface Movement Guidance and Control System). In this paper, this is the method of remote firmware upgrade for individual light controller in airport ILCMS system.
