Objectives: This study was performed to report the effect of oriental medical treatment in the paraplegia and pain after epidural nerve block. Methods: A 39-year-old woman who underwent epidural nerve block at a local clinic was admitted with motor weakness of lower limbs, severe lower radiating pain and decreased sensation when voiding and defecating. We treated her by acupuncture, a herbal medicine, a bee venom injection, moxibustion and cupping treatment and physical theraphy from 11th July 2008 to 14th October 2008. Results: After treatment, most symptoms decreased, VAS(Visual Analog Scale) score changed from 9 to 2. and examinated muscle power changed from 2-3 to 4-5. Conclusions: Our study suggested that oriental medical treatments are significantly effective in the paralplegia and pain after epidural nerve block. And further studies will be aid to identify underlying mechanism of treatment.
연료전지 자동차를 위한 Bi-directional 컨버터의 설계 및 TDC 제어

Renewable energy research has been actively performed nowadays in order to replace the fossil energy, which will be depleted in near future. Hydrogen energy is one of the prominent solutions to be fully utilized in near future. Specially, hydrogen hybrid vehicle is now in the market, and it may be soon the most important transport means within ten years. Therefore, to save hydrogen consumption in the vehicle, more efficient energy usage is compulsory. In this paper, robust control(TDC) technique is designed and applied to the bi-directional DC-DC converter for fast response and more efficient battery charge and discharge. Comparing with PID results, TDC can offer better performance in charging the battery or in supplying the required power without significant power loss. NEDC load profile is used to analyze the battery SOC in real-time. LabView system is selected for real experimental device, and Li-ion battery is used for showing the power charging and discharging efficiency.

본 설계는 음성 인식을 이용한 손가락 제어 의수에 관한 것으로 선천적 절단 장애 또는 근육의 퇴화로 인해 근전도 센서를 사용하지 못하는 장애인들도 의수를 사용 가능하도록 하였다. ‘Solidworks’ 를 이용한 3D 설계 및 3D 프린팅으로 의수를 제작하였으며, 아두이노 코딩을 통한 각각의 서보모터 제어로 의수의 동작을 다양하게 구현할 수 있게 하였다. 또한 ‘앱 인벤터2’를 이용한 어플리케이션 제작을 통해 음성 인식 기능을 추가하였고, 블루투스 모듈을 사용해 아두이노와 어플리케이션 간의 페어링이 가능하게 하여 인식된 명령어에 따라 의수가 동작할 수 있도록 하였다. 본 설계를 통하여 더욱 저렴하고 맞춤 제작이 가능하며 분해 및 조립을 할 수 있고, 시중에 판매되는 부품을 사용함으로써 부품의 고장, 파손이 발생하였을 때 보수가 용이하도록 의수를 제작하였다. 음성 인식 기술을 통해 다양한 동작을 구현하여 활용성을 최대화하고 이를 통해 기존 의수의 문제점을 보완하여 절단 장애인들에게 전자 의수가 더욱 대중화될 수 있도록 하는 것에 중점을 두었다. This design relates to the finger-control prosthetic hand using voice recognition, so the prosthetic hand could be used by people with disabilities who can’t use EMG sensors. The prosthetic hand was made by 3D design and 3D printing using "Solidworks", and the various motions of the prosthetic hands was applied by controlling each servo motor according to voice recognition voice using Arduino coding and "App Inventor 2". We will focus on making prosthetic hand more popular among people with disabilities by complementing the problems of existing prosthetic hand with voice recognition technology.
