The purpose of this study was to analyze the effect of walking exercise on health-related physical fitness and body composition in obese middle-aged women. SPSS 11.0 was used to calculate mean and SD, and ANCOVA was conducted to examine the group difference between paired sample t-test and pre-test and post-test. The level of significance was set at α=.05. 1. The change of health-related physical fitness was examined. In the EG, there was no statistically significant difference in muscular strength, but there was statistically significant difference in muscle endurance(p<.05), flexibility(p<.01), and cardivascular endurance(p<.001). In the CG, there was no statistically significant difference in all factors. 2. The change of body composition was examined. In the EG, there was statistically significant difference in weight(p<.001) and % body fat(p<.001), but no statistically significant difference was found in the CG. 3. The change of skinfold thickness was examined. In the EG, there was statistically significant difference in triceps, subscapular, midaxillary, abdominal, suprailliac, and popliteal muscles(p<.001) and front thigh(p<.01), but there was no statistically significant difference in medial calf. In the CG, there was no statistically significant difference in all regions. In conclusion, as results of conducting the 12-week walking exercise program for obese middle-aged women, it was found that the program improved health-related and effectively reduced % body fat and skinfold thickness. It is recommended that middle-aged women should do low intensity endurance exercise rather than excessive exercise. Further study should conduct a walking exercise program and a dietary cure together to provide obese middle-aged women with a more effective program.

The effects of a 12-week walking program on health-related physical fitness and blood components in obese middle-aged women were examined and the following results were obtained. For the health-related physical fitness, there was a significant difference in weight and % body fat for body composition and there was also a significant difference in muscle strength, muscle endurance, flexibility, and cardivascular endurance. It suggests that a walking exercise was very helpful to improve health-related physical fitness and was a very effective program in obese middle-aged women. For the blood components, there was no significant difference in total cholesterol, but there was a significant difference in HDL-C, LDL-C, triglyceride, insulin, glucose, free fatty acid, and leptin. It suggests that a walking exercise had a positive effect on blood components in obese middle-aged women. In conclusion, a walking exercise can be done anytime anywhere without difficulty and reduces weight effectively, improves health-related physical fitness, and changes blood components positively in obese middle-aged women.

This study is intended to research into the realities of participation of the workes employed by companies in physical activities. To do so, used are four questions about the characteristics of the subjects of the study and nine ones about the actual conditions of workers’ participation in sports for all. The analyses of materials according to process lead to the following conciusions. 1) About a health condition, 4629% of the respondents(626) think themselves healthy, 40.55% doubtful and 13.16% sick. 2) It is shown that 77.23% of them take rogular or irreularl exercise, and 22.77%9146) of them do not exercise at all. 46.24% of the non-excerisers ascribes their non-exercise to lack of timo, 18.53% of them to absence of co-exercisers and the rest of them to no around-them facilities, money or especially interesting sports. 3) It is shown that 74.10% of the exerciseres 480 are engaged in physical activites mainly on behalf of health improvement 67.74% exercise with a frequency of two times a week, 21.30% three times, 13.96% over five times, 27.07% take exercisewith the duration of 40-50 minutes, 24.57% 30-40 minutes, 20.04% 20-30 minutes and 17.21% over 60 minutes. 4) Among those involved in physical activites(480), 49.73% exercise on holidays or weekends, 28.59% on every day, and 21.68% on weekdays. The expenses spent on their exercise are less than ₩50,000 for 60.64%, ₩50,000-70,000 for 26.74%, ₩70,000-100,000 for 10.76% and over ₩100,000 for 1.86%. 5) What they(480) complain about is lack of space and facilities for 33.20%, lack of continuance of exercise programs for 28.04%, formality for 24.63%, and need of a leader of sincerity for 14.13%, their participating in physical activities at work.

This study aims to analyze physical activity and calorie consumption according to methods to move in rounding and players and caddie and provide basic materials to assess the levels of physical activity and calorie consumption in golf club users for their healthy life. The study was conducted in G Country Club located in C Province and finally the following results were ob ity hour by exercise intensity per 1 hour according to movement methods showed in the order of moderate intensity > low intensity > high intensity. The comparison of physical activity and calorie consumption according to subjects showed that caddies were higher than players and the comparison of calorie consumption according to exercise intensity also showed that caddies were higher than players. Physical activity and calorie consumption was found high in moving on foot, and activity by exercise intensity was the highest in moderate intensity, followed by low intensity and high intensity. For the comparison of activity, calorie consumption, and activity intensity according to hole forms, a long hole was the highest, followed by a middle hole and a short hole. Caddies showed higher activity and calorie consumption than players.

This study is on the influence of exercise items and characteristics by training period on athletes` Physical Fitness uses total of 73 objects in experimental group composed of male university athletes having over eight-year career at basketball, volleyball, handball, wrestling, kumdo, taekwondo, rugby, hockey and football(seven athletes respectively at each item) and comparative group of 10 university students. strength and muscular endurance is done by equipments at C University Fitness Center. For measuring strength and muscular endurance, the first measurement before winter training was conducted, the second measurement was done after training of 12 weeks by training programs based on exercise characteristics by items and the third measurement was after training of 12 weeks with class and exercise together based on programs by exercise items. 1. In the changes of muscular strength by exercise items according to training period, it shows increase of 4.6kg after first stage training and that of 0.43 kg after second training (p<.05) 2. In the changes of muscular endurance, it shows increase of 2.03 times after first stage training and decrease of 0.49 times after second training (p<.05) 3. In the changes of power, it shows increase of 1.98 cm after first stage training and that of 0.37 cm after second training (p<.05). 4. In the changes of agility, it shows increase of 1.68 times after first stage training and that of 2.64 times after second training (p<.05). 5. In the changes of flexibility, it shows increase of 1.33cm after first stage training and that of 0.27cm after second training (p<.05) 6. In the changes of heart and lung endurance, it shows increase of 3.54ml after first stage training and decrease of 0.51ml after second training (p<.05)

This study aimed to examine the effects of combined exercise program on inflammation markers. In order to achieve this purpose, this study conducted a 12-week combined exercise program which mixed aerobic with anaerobic exercises in 30 obese middle-aged women with a body fat of over 30%. Finally the following results were obtained. For inflammation markers, there was no difference between the experiment group and the control group in the pre-test of two groups concerning CRP, fibrinogen, and interleukin-6, whereas the results of the post-test showed a decrease, which meant a significant difference. There was no a significant difference in WBC between the pre-test and the post-test, but there was a significant difference in adiponectin. The experiment group showed an increase or a decrease in CRP, fibrinogen, adiponectin, and interleukin-6 between the pre-test and the post-test, suggesting the positive effect of the composite exercise program on inflammation index in obese middle-aged women. There was no difference in WBC. There was no difference in all factors in the control group.
