리튬브로마이드(LiBr) 수용액을 활용한 온실 제습을 위한 연구

Due to high temperature and humidity, usually greenhouses are not operated in summer season in Korea. Several methods are being applied to reduce temperature inside of the greenhouses, such as fog cooling and evaporative cooling pad, however those techniques cause increment of humidity as well leading lower crop productivity. In order to overcome this problem, preliminary experiment of dehumidification for the greenhouse was performed using Lithium-bromide(LiBr) solution as the dehumidifying materials. By passing through LiBr-moistened pad, the moisture in the ambient air is absorbed partially into the LiBr solution so that cooled air with suitable humidity for crops can be supplied into the greenhouses. For this test, two different pad types, ``Soundproof pad`` and the ``Loofah pad``, were used. At the test using the two different pad types, the deviation between inlet and outlet relative humidity (RH) was approximately 15% for both pad types. At the test in terms of wind speed change, RH deviation between inlet and outlet were 14.7% in case of 1.79 m/s and 16.1% in 0.89 m/s respectively. From these results, the air flow rate and the pad thickness were the dominant factors for absorbing water into the LiBr solution. The dehumidification system combined with evaporative cooling pad needs to be investigated for further study.
