To work out a strategy of energy management effectively, the building energy audit should be established to find out the problem of building energy performance and to propose the solution for it. HANMI C&E as a company authorized by Government has diagnosed various type building. This case studies are chosen to best practices by KEMCO. This studies present efficient recommendation methods for improving system performance.

Improving energy efficiency is the important thing of energy saving strategies that was shown up result of IEA meeting and the G8 Summit. Energy audit was started in 2006 that Korea government policy for improving energy efficiency. Who used over 2,000toe/yr(tons of oil equivalent per year) energy consumption has to perform energy audit program of obligation every five years with auditing company. In Korea, air source heat pump system is less efficient than conventional heat source facilities, such as ground source, river water, because the air temperature in winter season is so low that COP of air source heat pump system drops below 3.0. Therefore, the study on the application of heat pump heating and cooling systems is crucial for the efficient popularization of heat pump. In this work, we present the dynamic analysis of energy consumption for the large resident building by heat resistance-capacitance method. The system simulation of water storage air source heat pump is additionally performed by changing of sizes and locations of the hospital building. The computed results show that energy cost of water storage air source heat pump is low, so it is mote economical than absorption chiller & heater.

Recently available heat pump system by using air heat-source is not efficient. Because the mean temperature of korean winter season is low, economy of air heat-source heat pump descend, and COP is below 3.0. This paper was practiced the simulation on evaluation criteria for heat pump heating and cooling systems to resident building. As a result, heating and cooling composition heat pump system apply to the building needed to be provided heat source for 24 hours.

In order to comply with the global energy crisis and environment problem, it is necessary to research and develop the energy utilization technology with the reduction of the primary energy usage. Although the increasing rate of energy consumption started to attenuate, the entire consumption of energy as well as CO2 emission rate tends to increase steadily along with an economic growth in Korea. The energy demand in Korea increases by annual 3.7% during the period from 2000 to 2006. And it is expected that we should take a charge of the greenhouse gas reduction obligation by the Climatic Change Convention(Kyoto Protocol) during the 2nd pledge period(2013~2017). According to the IEA report in 2005, the emission amount of carbon dioxide is the 10th place in the world, and the increasing rate is 4.7% annually. Considering the economic scale of Korea, the degradation of energy usage is inevitable when the greenhouse gas reduction obligation come into effect. Therefore, effective energy usage is a very important issue to minimize baneful influence on industrial and economic activities.
