As importance of Information communication technology (ICT) has been recognized in educational fields, ICT education has been reflected in the elementary school curriculum for all grades. However, unlike other courses, ICT education has been carried out diversely at teachers` discretion without authorized textbooks or objectives for each grade. Thus, in the present circumstances, it is difficult to evaluate students` ICT capability accurately. In this study, we developed a grade-by-grade ICT literacy capacity evaluation standard. Our evaluation standard is based on the standard recommended by Municipal and Provincial Offices of Education, contents of various textbooks in elementary schools, teaching-learning software and other authorized materials. We hope that our standard helps students acquire the basic lCT literacy capacity and thus attain their educational goals. In additions, our standard is expected to be a good guidance for teachers in their classes.
