Model for the dynamic simulation of dynamic behaviors of a solid oxide fuel cell (SOFC) is provided. This model is based upon (1) coupled mass and heat transfer characteristics and (2) important chemical reactions such as electrochemical and reforming reaction in high temperature fuel cells such as SOFC. It is found that the thermal inertia of solid materials in SOFC plays an important role to the dynamic behavior of cell temperature. Dynamic characteristics of cell voltage, power and chemical compositions with different levels of load changes are investigated.

Performance of a solid oxide fuel cell(SOFC)-gas turbine(GT) hybrid system is strongly influenced by the gas turbine characteristics. The operation of the SOFC-GT hybrid system at the maximum efficiency condition requires the development of a brand-new gas turbine which fits best for the required system performance. Another choice may be to select an off-the-shelf gas turbine available in market with its performance close to the required specifications of the hybrid system. In this study, performance of a SOFC-GT hybrid system with two different gas turbines (i.e., brand-new and off-the-shelf ones) is evaluated.
Performance Characteristics of Fuel Cell – Heat Engine Hybrid Systems

Performance of a fuel cell can be enhanced by constructing a hybrid system with a heat engine. In a fuel cell ? heat engine hybrid system, the heat released from a fuel cell is used for a high temperature heat resource for the operation of the heat engine and produces additional power. Hybrid systems are theoretically applicable from small scale distributed generations to large scale power plants. In the present study, performance characteristics of fuel cell ? heat engine hybrid systems with different power classes are discussed.

The purpose of this study is to compare the part-load performance of a solid oxide fuel cell-gas turbine (SOFC-GT) hybrid system with three different operation modes, such as fuel-only control, rotational speed control, and variable inlet guide vane (VIGV) control. While the fuel-only control mode maintains a constant air supply and reduces the supplied fuel to achieve part-load operation, the others are distinguished by the control of supplied air to the system. It is found that the rotational speed control mode, related to the reduction of supplied air simultaneously with the reduction of supplied fuel, is the optimum choice for the high performance operation of the hybrid system. The VIGV control mode can be used for the part-load operation of ㎿-class hybrid system that the variable speed control mode can not be adopted.

Performance analysis of a solid oxide fuel cell/micro gas turbine hybrid system is conducted at design-point and part-load conditions and its results are discussed in this study. With detailed considerations of the heat and mass transfer phenomena along various flow streams of the SOFC, the analysis based on a quasi-2D model reasonably predicts its performance at the design-point operating conditions. In case of part-load operations, performance of the hybrid system to three different operation modes(fuel only control, speed control, and VIGV control) is compared. It is found that the simultaneous control of both supplied fuel and air to the system with a variable MGT rotational speed mode is the optimum choice for the high performance operation. And then, the dynamic characteristics of a solid oxide fuel cell are briefly introduced.
문화콘텐츠디자인 발전을 위한 교육적 측면의 실천적 대안

최근 영상 애니메이션과 같은 고부가가치 산업이 주목을 받으면서 문화콘텐츠디자인이라는 영역에 대한 관심이 높아지고 있다. 본 연구에서는 국내의 문화콘텐츠디자인 관련교육을 중심으로 현재의 상황과 문제점을 알아보고 실천적인 대안을 통하여 추후 경쟁력 있는 문화콘텐츠디자인의 발전을 극대화하고자 한다. 이를 위해 전문 인력의 양성을 위한 교육기관신설이나 커리큘럼의 보강, 디지털사고와의 접목, 그리고 정부부처와의 긴밀한 협조와 지원이 요구되어진다고 하겠다. Since highly value added business like an animation image has been drawing public attention, the interest in the realm of cultural contents design has been increased. In this study, I will analyze the current situations and problems with priority given to a related education of cultural contents design and will maximize the development of cultural contents design with competitiveness through practical alternatives afterwards. In order to achieve this, an establishment of the educational institutions to educate professionals, reinforcement of curriculum, connecting with digital thinking and the close cooperation and support from governmental divisions are required.
