In RSM, we deploy the performance target for the occupant safety in early stage of a vehicle development. And we set a target performance for each component in order to achieve it. But the current targets are not enough to represent the occupant safety performance. Sometime, even tough all components meet the target performance, the occupant is not safe. Thus we need new technical criteria to overcome the problem above. The purpose of this study is to develop the new technical criteria for the full-wrap crash including the package, restraint system and vehicle deformation performance. By new criteria, we can predict the vehicle deformation performance more precisely and review the package performance in terms of the occupant safety before the physical test. After physical test, we can estimate the performance of restraint system and vehicle deformation.
