This research investigates the performance of network-based control processes to respond to unexpected outdoor temperature changes in terms of thermal comfort and energy use. The performance of a proposed model is compared to a single-switch model how to reduce thermal dissatisfaction and energy consumption. The network-based control process uses better-fitted signals derived from the past temperature patterns and improves the constancy of thermal comfort levels by about 95.3% and the efficiency of energy use by about 3.7% as compared to the theoretical control responding to the difference between indoor and outdoor temperature.
