Constant velocity joint is used for transmitting torque to wheel. Ball joint is popular to outboard type because it allows wheel to bend freely according to steering. Nowadays, the strength requirements of CVJ are being more complicated because of robustness against high engine power and the demand for flexible turning capability in small area. One of the CVJ strength evaluations is quasi-static torsion limitation test, which measures the fracture torque with maximum joint angle on ball joint. Cage web of ball joint determines most fracture strength of CVJ on the test. The study is performed in order to find the reason of cage web weakness with coupled dynamic analysis method. The study shows that firstly, contact force between ball and inner race track at large joint angle makes it between inner race and cage web amplified especially in from 120 to 150 revolution range. Secondly, the kinetic result of cage web’ contact posture for maximum joint angle shows that the phase from 145 to 215 has weak shear strength potential by contact pressure. Finally, the change of track which has bisymmetry shape joint along to shaft direction from joint center shows that the stress of web can be minimized and the strength is very sensitive to track shape
