Rotary kiln is used in the process that sinter the iron ore pellets at steel mill. In order to make a suitable iron ore pellets in steel assortment process, the rotary kiln furnace to maintain proper temperature is essential. Also, consideration for NOx emission is necessary. In this study, the flame characteristics and NOx emission of the rotary kiln for COG predicted by computational analysis according to air flow at center nozzle of burner and diameter ratio of fixed fuel nozzle diameter and 1st air nozzle diameter. Larger diameter ratio of air nozzle was increased flame length. And air flow increases, the flame length and NOx emissions decreased. And increasing air flow through the center nozzle in burner, there was no significant change in flame length.
