This paper presents a CMOS flash A/D converter which operates very fast compared to other A/D converters. The flash A/D converter architecture has high speed conversion due to its parallel structure. However, the flash A/D converter consumes large area and power according to the number of resolution. To solve the area problem of the flash A/D converter architecture, this paper proposed the Threshold Inverter Quantization(TIQ) technique for high speed and low power scheme. Furthermore this paper presents the double integer encoder for real time Digital Signal Processor(DSP). The designed chip was fabricated by 0.18㎛ process, and its maximum power consumption is 38.71㎽ at 1.8V.

The structural pattern of Shakespeare's romances exhibits a tragicomic movement in which the catastrophic movement down into chaos is followed by the anastrophic movement up to stability. that is, the romances represent the movement of 'full circle' from order and harmony through chaos, disorder, and then back to order, reconciliation and harmony. then, the tragicomic cyclic movements are depicted as reccurent actions through the multiple plots in each romance. In this aspect, The Tempest, the last of Shakespeare's romances, shows the tragicomic circular pattern moving from the initial castrophic movement to the ultimate harmony. The play opens with the scene of violent tempest symbolizing disorder and ends with the harmonious music of sphere. And also in the play we see the cyclic recurrence represented by various manifestations of a single catastrophic pattern. The violent storm experienced by the Courtiers in the opening scene is a reenactment of that earlier storm, twelve years past, in which Prospero and his daughter, Miranda, were cruelly exposed. and Antonio's original crime which supplanted his brother Prospero, Antonio and Sebastian's attempt on Aloso's life, and Caliban, Stephano, and Trinculo's plot to murder Prospero also portray a world of cyclic recurrence through a series of catastophic actions. However, the catastrophic movement is converted into the anastrophic movement caused by the forgiveness as "the rarer action" of Prospero and the harmony of marriage of Ferdinand and Miranda. Finally, the action of the play returns to its prologue and all the characters resume their former places. The Wheel of Time comes full circle.

The Winter's Tale represents the cyclically tragicomic movement from order through chaos and ten back to concord. This structural pattern has two movements: one is the catastrophic movement shown in Shakespeare's tragedies and the other the restorative one in his commedies. Those two actions can be examined in various aspects in The Winter's Tale such as of symbol, them, space, and time. In the symbolical aspect, the structural pattern is related to rhe archetypal rhythm of natural cycle from winter to spring. The winter half concentrating on the desolation that Leontes spreads at his court changes into the spring half on the mutual love of Florizel and Perdita and the reunions at the finale. In this sense we wee the victory of Spring over Winter in the play. In the thematic point of view, the first tragic world filled with jealousy, distrust, separation and death is regenerated into the second comic world full of love, faith, harmony and rebirth. In the spacial aspect, Sicilia, the island kingdom of Leontes, is the winter kingdom of separation and barreness. Standing in contrast, the inland Bohemia is the kingdom of springtime with redeeming love and fertility. With the reunion of Sicilia and bohemia comes the reunion of love and friendship; and life returns to a barren land. In terms of time, the play's two actions cover the full course of cyclical time from the destructive course to the restorative one. In this aspect, the structural pattern in The Winter's Tale exhibits the cyclically tragicomic movement from order and harmony through chaos and disorder, and then back to the re-established concord and stability.
