In this paper, authors analyzed to discuss on the near-shore current characteristics at the vicinity of groin with radiation stress concept. And authors calculated on the near-shore current velocity at SANGJU beach. Discussed and calculated results are as follows; 1. With the analysis results, near-shore current velocity is about 4 times that's of non-groin and radiation stress is about 3 times that's of non-groin. 2. The pattern of near-shore current is very important to sediment movement. 3. In this study, to compare numericial analysis with esbablished data was qualitatively harmonized.

In this paper, authors analyzed to discuss on the nearshore current characteristics with radiation stress concept. And authors calculated on the nearshore current velocity at SANGJU beach. Discussed and calculated results are as follows; 1. The direction of incident wave affected with radiation stress and nearshore currents. 2. With the analysis results, nearshore currents at the vicinity of groin increased coastal erosion at SANGJU beach. The model results show a qualitatively good agreement with observed patterns in the field.

Sediment characteristics on beach is the most important element for the sand coast progress. And then, sediment characteristics determined by the sorting coefficient, grain size, shape, wave, tide, beach current etc. In this report, authors investigated and studied on the plane characteristics of beach and sediment characteristics, i. e. the sorting coefficient, skewness, beach profile gradient, color, average grain size on south coast islands beaches.

We have completed the construction of bank protection, the road of back, the removal of jetty as a way of environmental improvement project of Pi-jin Beach. Then now we are faced with the problem of deep erosion in beach resort and wind blown sand, because of not taking care of influence about environment considerably. To find out this problem, we are to analyse the on-the-spot survey datum, presume volume of wind blown sand, and devise a counter measure.
