한국어 요리 동사의 다의적 의미 분석 -"끓이다01", "굽다01", "찌다05", "지지다01", "볶다"를 중심으로-

This paper aims to analyze the polysemous meanings of cuisine verbs which have not been fully reflected in Korean dictionaries. Korean cuisine verbs such as kkeulh-ida, gubda, jjida, jijida, bokk-da require an obligatory argument ``N1-eul`` in common. Further, they may take ``N2-ro`` and ``N3-e`` as an optional adjunct, and it varies with each cuisine verb on the context. ``N2-ro`` represents cooking ingredients, and ``N3-e`` represents cooking utensils. In this respect, we first presented the possible sentential types that each cuisine verb takes. Second, we listed the noun words presented on the ``N1``, ``N2`` and ``N3``. Third, we examined the relation between each cuisine verb and its nominal argument, and then analyzed the polysemous meanings of the five cuisine verbs based on the result. This study of polysemous meaning on essential cuisine verbs in Korean is valuable because this study result can be served as elementary data for a future contrastive study and the translation of cuisine verbs; furthermore, it will be beneficial for L2 leaners of Korean, especially for married female immigrants.
