이상원 교수의 개혁주의 윤리학 - 기독교 세계관의 관점에서 윤리의 규범과 방법론, 생명윤리, 그리고 사회윤리를 중심으로 -

이상원은 기독교 세계관의 관점에서 윤리 규범의 원리와 방법론을 전제로 기독교 윤리를 적용했다. 윤리 규범의 원리는 ‘창조타락구속’의 틀에서 전개되었다. 윤리 규범의 방법론에서 ‘사회구조론’은 네덜란드와 한국의 사회구조론에 적용했다. 이상원은 영역주권이 전통적 해석에서 변화하는 사회경제구조에 따른 역동적이고 탄력성 있는 ‘새로운 해석’으로 발전해야 하고(네덜란드), 분배의 정의가 이루어져야 한다고 강조했다(한국). 또한 인간론은 생명의 시작점과 종결점에 대한 윤리적 판단을 전개하는 데 있어서 가장 중요한 전략적 규범이 된다. 생명윤리의 적용은 생명의 시작점과 종결점을 중심으로 전개된다. 생명의 시작점은 수정란설로부터 시작된다. 생명의 시작점과 관련된 문제로는 유전자 진단과 치료, 줄기세포, 인공수정, 그리고 낙태가 있다. 생명의 종결점은 대뇌와 소뇌의 죽음이 아니라 심폐사 이후 영혼이 떠나는 시점이다. 생명의 종결점과 관련된 문제로는 안락사, 장기이식, 그리고 자살이 있다. 그러나 기독교적 윤리의 관점에서, 모든 치료는 윤리적 문제를 가지지 않아야 한다. 사회정의란 하나님과 인간이 조화를 이루며, 사회 모든 영역에서 그 조화를 실현하는 것이다. 이상원은 공리주의와 롤즈의 최소 수혜자의 개념을 비판적으로 분석하여 종합했다. 이상원은 한편으로는, 성경적 정의 개념과 차이가 있는 공리주의를 비판하면서, 다른 한편으로는 롤즈의 최소 수혜자의 원칙을 성경적 정의의 현대적 해석이라고 평가하면서, 그 범위를 더 넓게, 성경적 개념으로 확장시켰다. 따라서 이상원은 윤리규범의 원리와 방법론을 체계적으로 확립시켰다. 구체적으로 생명윤리 분야에서 규범론을 체계화했고, 사회 정의론에서 성경적 정의의 개념을 체계화했다. Lee Sang-won applied Christian ethics on the premise of the principles and methodology of ethical norms from the perspective of the Christian worldview. The principle of the norms of ethics was developed in the framework of’creation-fall-redemption.’ In the methodology of ethical norms, ‘social structure theory’ was applied to social structure theory in the Netherlands and Korea. Lee Sangwon emphasized that spheresovereignty should develop from a traditional interpretation to a dynamic and resilient “new interpretation” according to the changing socio-economic structure (the Netherlands), and that the justice of distribution should be made (Korea). In addition, anthropology is the most important strategic norm in developing ethical judgments about the starting and ending points of life. The application of bioethics develops around the starting and ending points of life. The starting point of life begins with a fertilized egg. Problems related to the starting point of life include genetic diagnosis and treatment, stem cells, artificial insemination, and abortion. The ending points life is not the death of the cerebrum and cerebellum, but the point at which the soul leaves after cardiopulmonary death. Problems related to ending points of life include euthanasia, organ transplants, and suicide. From a Christian ethical point of view, all treatments should not have ethical problems. Social justice is the harmony between God and human beings and realizing that harmony in all areas of society. Lee Sang-won critically analyzed and synthesized the concepts of utilitarianism and Rawls’s least beneficiary. Lee Sangwon, on the one hand, criticized utilitarianism, which differed from the biblical concept of justice, and on the other, evaluated Rawls’ principle of least beneficiary as a modern interpretation of biblical justice, extending its scope to a broader, biblical concept. Therefore, Lee Sang-won systematically established the principles and methodology of the norm of ethics. Specifically, Lee Sang-won systematized normative theory in the field of bioethics and biblical concept of justice in social justice theory.
