디자인 산업의 치열한 경쟁상황 속에서 새로운 시장과 가치를 창출하기 위한 해결방안으로 포지셔닝 전략에 기반 한 융합형 디자인 프로세스 모델을 제안하고자 한다. 특히 프로스펙스 ``W`` 사례를 통해 살펴보았다. 프로스펙스의 경우 현 시장의 제품인 ``러닝화`` 중심의 시장에서 ``스포츠워킹화``를 제안함으로, 디자인 프로세스 초기 단계부터 고객 분석을 통해 새로운 가치를 제안하고, 기존의 프레임을 깨고 ``스포츠 워킹화``라는 포지셔닝 전략에 기반 한 디자인 프로세스를 통해 새로운 시장을 개척하였다. 이는 기존 러닝화 시장에서 고전하고 있던 프로스펙스가 ``W``를 통해 ``스포츠 워킹화`` 라는 새로운 시장과 가치를 창출하고, 그 시장의 리딩 기업이 될 수 있었던 것이다. 따라서 디자인 프로세스 상에서 포지셔닝 전략을 포괄적, 단계적으로 적용함으로, 융합형 디자인 프로세스의 중요성을 제안하고자 한다. In the intense competition of the design industry, this study suggests a converged design process model based on the positioning strategy as a solution to create a new market and value. This is looked through in the case, ``Prospecs W``. With the product market ``running shoes,`` the new market and value have created ``sports walking shoes.`` It has suggested the convergence design process created a pioneering new value and market based on customer analysis from an early stage, breaking the traditional frame. Namely, in the traditional market of running shoes, the sports walking shoes created through ``Prospecs W``, have become a leader. Therefore, this study has suggested the significance of the convergence design process based on the gradual application of positioning strategy that was added on the design process.
