멀티미디어 전용 명령어를 내장한 멀티코어 프로세서 구현 및 검증

In this paper, we present a multi-core processor including multimedia specific instructions to process multimedia data efficiently in the mobile environment. Multimedia specific instructions exploit subword level parallelism (SLP), while the multi-core processor exploits data level parallelism (DLP). These combined parallelisms improve the performance of multimedia processing applications. The proposed multi-core processor including multimedia specific instructions is implemented and tested using a Xilinx ISE 10.1 tool and SoCMaster3 testbed system including Vertex 4 FPGA. Experimental results using a fire detection algorithm show that multimedia specific instructions outperform baseline instructions in the same multi-core architecture in terms of performance (1.2x better), energy efficiency (1.37x better), and area efficiency (1.23x better).
고속의 클러스터 추정을 위한 매니코어 프로세서의 디자인 공간 탐색

본 논문에서는 단일 명령어, 다중 데이터 처리 기반의 매니코어 프로세서를 이용하여 높은 계산량이 요구되는 차감 클러스터링 알고리즘을 병렬 구현하고 성능을 향상시킨다. 또한 차감 클러스터링 알고리즘을 위한 최적의 매니코어 프로서서 구조를 선택하기 위해 다섯 가지의 프로세싱 엘리먼트 (processing element, PE) 구조 (PEs=16, 64, 256, 1,024, 4,096)를 모델링하고, 각 PE구조에 대해 실행시간 및 에너지 효율을 측정한다. 두 가지 의료 영상 및 각 영상의 세 가지 해상도(128x128, 256x256, 512x512)를 이용하여 모의 실험한 결과, 모든 경우에 대해 PEs=4,096구조에서 최고의 성능 및 에너지 효율을 보였다. This paper implements and improves the performance of high computational subtractive clustering algorithm using a single instruction, multiple data (SIMD) based many-core processor. In addition, this paper implements five different processing element (PE) architectures (PEs=16, 64, 256, 1,024, 4,096) to select an optimal PE architecture for the subtractive clustering algorithm by estimating execution time and energy efficiency. Experimental results using two different medical images and three different resolutions (128x128, 256x256, 512x512) show that PEs=4,096 achieves the highest performance and energy efficiency for all the cases.
음향 방출 신호와 히스토그램 모델링을 이용한 유도전동기의 베어링 결함 검출

본 논문에서는 저속으로 회전하는 유도 전동기의 베어링 결함을 검출하기 위해 음향 방출 신호와 히스토그램 모델링을 이용하는 방법을 제안한다. 제안한 방법은 정규화된 결함 신호가 구성하는 히스토그램의 포락선을 모델링하여, 부분 상관 계수와 DET(Distance Evaluation Technique) 기법을 이용하여 결함 유형별 고유한 특징을 추출 및 선택한다. 추출된 특징을 SVR(Support Vector Regression) 분류기의 입력으로 사용하여 베어링의 내륜, 외륜 및 롤러 결함을 분류한다. 최적의 분류 성능을 위해 SVR 커널함수의 매개변수를 0.01에서 1.0까지 변화시키고, 특징 개수는 2에서 150까지 변화시키면서 실험한 결과, 0.64-0.65의 매개변수와 75개의 특징 개수에서 제안한 방법은 약 91%의 분류 성능을 보였고, 또한 기존의 결함 분류 알고리즘보다 높은 분류 성능을 보였다. This paper proposes a fault detection method for low-speed rolling element bearings of an induction motor using acoustic emission signals and histogram modeling. The proposed method performs envelop modeling of the histogram of normalized fault signals. It then extracts and selects significant features of each fault using partial autocorrelation coefficients and distance evaluation technique, respectively. Finally, using the extracted features as inputs, the support vector regression (SVR) classifies bearing’s inner, outer, and roller faults. To obtain optimal classification performance, we evaluate the proposed method with varying an adjustable parameter of the Gaussian radial basis function of SVR from 0.01 to 1.0 and the number of features from 2 to 150. Experimental results show that the proposed fault identification method using 0.64-0.65 of the adjustable parameter and 75 features achieves 91% in classification performance and outperforms conventional fault diagnosis methods as well.
전립선비대증을 동반한 발기부전 환자에서 Mirodenafil 50mg 매일 복용요법과 100mg 필요 시 복용요법의 유효성 비교

Purpose: To Compare the improvement of erectile dysfunction (ED) and lower urinary tract symptoms (LUTS) as well as the efficacy of mirodenalfil 50mg once daily and 100mg on-demand in patients with benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH) and erectile dysfunction (ED). Materials and Methods: Prospective study was done with 220 patients who had BPH and ED from June 2013 to October 2014. Out of 220 individuals, 260 met inclusion criteria and 204 finished the research. Patients were divided into two groups. Group 1 had mirodenafil 50mg once daily and Group 2 had mirodenafil 100mg on-demand. The five-item version of the International Index of Erectile Function (IIEF-5), International Prostate Symptom Score (IPSS), Qmax, and residual urine volume(PVR) were assessed immediately before initiation of treatment (V1) and after four (V2) and twelve weeks of treatment (V3). Results: No difference of IIEF-5, IPSS, Qmax, and PVR between two groups in V1. At V3, both groups had improvements of IPSS and group 1 had better improvements (-5.1±4.4 vs. -3.1±3.9 p<0.001). And Group 1 had larger improvements than Group 2 in Qmax significantly. No difference in PVR in both groups comparing V1 vs. V2 and V1 vs V3. Group 1 had better improved IIEF-5 than Group 2 (V1 vs. V3 : 4.8±5.8 vs. 4.4±5.1; p=0.032). There was no drop out patients due to cardiovascular problems. Conclusions: Once daily mirodenafil 50mg was more efficacious in treating both ED and LUTS than on-demand dosing mirodenafil 100mg without any complication of cardiovascular problems.
